Hi playgrounders!

My players and I think that 5e rules are too lenient. We like playing hard, so we have a consensus for developing a long term damage chart after falling unconscious and surviving. It's supposed that when you start making Death Saving Throws you are fighting against death itself, so taking a nap after dealing with it and fully replenishing your HP it's a bit lame. Our solution is a critical damage, or long term damage chart, depending of the damage type you took and a d100 roll.

The mechanics is as follows. When you fall unconscious due to any type of damage, first roll a DC15 Constitution Saving Throw (maybe different Saving Throws for different type of damage).

If you fail, roll a d100 in the long term damage chart. This "scars" cannot be healed by magic.
The chasis is as follows:

01: minor permanent wound that translates into a positive effect.
02-10: you lose 1 HP from your total HP permanently.
11-90: long term physical damage that translates into a permanent malus to your PC.
91-99: horribe wound. You lose 1 point from one ability (related to the damage type)
00: you suffer a terrible death related to the damage type you received.

Here is an example.

Slashing Damage Chart
01: a cool scar on your face makes you look fierce and harsh. +1 Intimidation.
02-10: a wound on your body diminishes your health. You lose 1 HP from your total HP permanently.
11-90: a horrible wound has gone through your body. Some of your tendons will malfunction forever. Substract 1 point permanently to Athletics and Acrobatics.
91-99: a horrible injury has weakened your body. You lose 1 Strenght point permanently.
00: the slashing hit cuts your head in half and you fall instantly dead. The vision is so shocking to your allies that if they fail a DC 10 Wisdom Saving Throw they are frightened until the end of their next round.

The thing is that we need your help and creative thinking for developing a table for each kind of damage, following this structure. Could you give us a hand please? Thanks in advance!
