Campaign narrative?

I'm curious, is it at all possible to record a campaign likewriting a story narrative as if it's following on PC and their thoughts/feelings on it. like in third person and all but following a pre-made camp?

Sure, any sequence of events can be retold as a story. Question is if that story is actually as interesting in the retelling as it is when it happens. RPGs and written fiction have quite different structures and pacing.
