i kind of like the circle of shepherd, but dont care much for playing a druid

how balanced would it be to play a sorcerer with the shepherd archetype?

Probably about as balanced as any sorcerer, but slightly weaker. Sorcerers don't get Conjure Spells =P

fair point, and if you modded spell list to have summons? and i guess reword some of the phrases to make it work

If you want to summon stuff without playing a Druid, why not play a Conjuration Wizard?

Why the dislike of Druids? If its the stereotyped hippy/tree hugging, plant wearing type character why not simply flavour it to be more like a Sorcerer?
They share a few of the same spells and are very strong.

If you'd rather have the arcane magic aspect, then a conjuration wizard would be a fine choice.

Might be like me and dislike the Wildshape?

Would probable be easier to just add Sorc Points to the druid class instead of Wildshape then if thats the case.

I like that Idea and might pitch it to my DM
