I played the class for a little while in a campaign, but my ability to gauge the class was severely impaired due to unrelated reasons, and we switched 5e right after. I'm possibly hopping into another group which runs Pathfinder now so I'm looking to resurrect my interest in the Binder port. Does anyone have experience with this class one way or the other? Just looking for if its worth trying to play it or if it will just be a headache for the table and unbalance things.

"Is X balanced" always depends somewhat on the question "what does your group consider balanced?" As a general rule of thumb, the Pactmaker averages out to T3 for the most part, but they can definitely hit T2 when optimized, particularly when you start doing things like shoving your spirits into nearby objects or using them to access various spells as SLAs. But they won't be any stronger than, say, a sorcerer or oracle, so if that degree of magic works fine in your group then an Pactmaker should too.

I've found the class to be a pretty solid T3 for the most part, on par with a Magus or so. The class is pretty strong right out of the gate, there's a few spirits that are just plain bad, but most are pretty decent so you're almost guaranteed a strong character.

Well, respected RPG reviewer Endzeitgiest, gave it 5 stars, his seal of approval and nominated it for his top 10 of 2017, and put gave it his "Essentials" tag as he considered it a "must -own expansion to the system" (http://endzeitgeist.com/grimoire-lost-souls/). So it comes well regarded. Also, there is an online wiki where you can read the rules here (http://spheresofpower.wikidot.com/pact-magic).

It’s ever-so-slightly better than 3.5’s own Pact Magic system, largely due to continued support and giving many classes access to it through archetypes. The Pactmaker itself is a high T3.
