Hey, despite playing the same game no two tables are exactly alike, how would some of these interactions resolve at your table?

First! Some relevant text to reference back to.

Wondrous item, Rarity varies (attunement optional)
A spell gem can contain one spell from any class's spell list. You become aware of the spell when you learn the gems properties. While holding the gem. you can cast the spell from it as an action if you know the spell or if the spell is on your class' spell list. Doing so doesn‘t require any components and doesn't require attunement. The spell then disappears from the gem. If the spell is of higher level than you can normally cast. you must make an ability check using your spellcasting ability to determine whether you cast it successfully. The DC equals 10 + the spell's level. On a failed check: the spell disappears from the gem with no other effect. Each spell gem has a maximum level for the spell it can store. The spell level determines the gems rarity and the stored spell's saving throw DC and attack bonus. as shown in the Spell Gem table. You imbue the gem with a spell if you're attuned to it and it's empty. To do so, you cast the spell while holding the gem. The spell is stored in the gem instead of having any effect. Casting the spell must require either 1 action or 1 minute or longer, and the spell’s level must be no higher than the gems maximum. If the spell belongs to the school of abjuration and requires material components that are consumed. you must provide them. but they can be worth half as much as normal. Once imbued with a spell. the gem can't be imbued again until the next dawn. Deep gnomes created these magic gemstones and keep the creation process a secret.
Out of The Abyss Appendix B Pg 223

Cast a Spell: Spellcasters such as wizards and clerics, as well as many monsters, have access to spells and can use them to great effect in combat. Each spell has a casting time, which specifies whether the caster must use an action, a reaction, minutes, or even hours to cast the spell. Casting a spell is, therefore, not necessarily an action. Most spells do have a casting time of 1 action, so a spellcaster often uses his or her action in combat to cast such a spell. See chapter 10 for the rules on spellcasting.
PHB Chpt 9 Pg 192

Glyph of Warding
3rd-level abjuration
Casting Time: 1 hour
Range: Touch
Components: V, S, M (incense and powdered diamond worth at least 200 gp, which the spell consumes) Duration Until dispelled or triggered When you cast this spell, you inscribe a glyph that harms other creatures, either upon a surface (such as a table or a section of floor or wall) or within an object that can be closed (such as a book, a scroll, or a treasure chest) to conceal the glyph. If you choose a surface, the glyph can cover an area of the surface no larger than 10 feet in diameter. If you choose an object, that object must remain in its place; if the object is moved more than 10 feet from where you cast this spell, the glyph is broken, and the spell ends without being triggered.

Spell Glyph. You can store a prepared spell of 3rd level or lower in the Glyph of Warding by casting it as part of creating the glyph. The spell must target a single creature or an area. The spell being stored has no immediate effect when cast in this way. When the glyph is triggered, the stored spell is cast. If the spell has a target, it targets the creature that triggered the glyph. If the spell affects an area, the area is centered on that creature. If the spell summons hostile creatures or creates harmful objects or traps, they appear as close as possible to the intruder and attack it. If the spell requires concentration, it lasts until the end of its full duration.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage of an explosive runes glyph increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd. If you create a spell glyph, you can store any spell of up to the same level as the slot you use for the glyph of warding.
PHB Chpt 11 Pg 245,246

Metamagic: At 3rd level, you gain the ability to twist your spells to suit your needs. You gain two of the following Metamagic options of your choice. You gain another one at 10th and 17th level. You can use only one Metamagic option on a spell when you cast it, unless otherwise noted.
PHB Chpt 3 Pg 101

Empowered Spell
When you roll damage for a spell, you can spend 1
sorcery point to reroll a number of the damage dice up
to your Charisma modifler (minimum of one). You must
use the new rolls.
You can use Empowered Spell even if you have
already used a different Metamagic option during the
casting of the spell.
PHB Chpt 3 Pg 102

Ring of Spell Storing
Ring, rare (requires attunement)
This ring stores spells cast into it, holding them until the attuned wearer uses them. The ring can store up to 5 levels worth of spells at a time. When found, it contain 1d6-1 levels of stored spells chosen by the DM. Any creature can cast a spell of 1st through 5th level into the ring by touching the ring as the spell is cast. The spell has no effect, other than to be stored in the ring. If the ring can't hold the spell, the spell is expended without effect. The level of the slot used to cast the spell determines how much space it uses. While wearing this ring, you can cast any spell stored in it. The spell uses the slot level, spell save DC, spell attack bonus, and spellcasting ability of the original caster, but is otherwise treated as if you cast the spell. The spell cast from the ring is no longer stored in it, freeing up space.
DMG Chpt 7 Pg 192

Enlightened Magic. Once you've read and studied the book, any spell slot you expend to cast a cleric or paladin spell counts as a spell slot of one level higher.
DMG Chpt 7 Pg 222

Can a PC put a 3rd level Glyph of Warding into a Ring of Spell Storing?

As part of casting a 3rd level Glyph of Warding into a Ring of Spell Storing, can/may a PC cast a 3rd level Fireball as the stored spell for Spell Glyph?

Can a PC put a 3rd level Glyph of Warding into a Spell Gem?

As part of casting a 3rd level Glyph of Warding into a Spell Gem, can/may a PC cast a 3rd level Fireball as the stored spell for Spell Glyph?

While storing a Glyph of Warding can a Sorcerer use a metamagic option on that spell? When the Glyph of Warding is cast from the magic item it was stored in has it maintained its metamagic option?

If a PC casts a stored spell from a magic item can a sorcerer use one of their metamagics on that spell? If that spell was stored with metamagic, and has kept its metamagic option, can a PC Sorcerer cast it from the magic item and choose an additional/new/another/stack the same/ metamagic option?
IE:
Inflict Wounds (1st level, Range: Touch) is cast into a ring of spell storing.
1 sorcery point is expended to add Distant Spell to make Inflict Wounds' range 30'.
Inflict Wounds (1st level, Range: 30') is cast from a ring of spell storing.
1 sorcery point is expended to add Distant Spell to make Inflict Wounds' range 60'.
Can this happen in your game?
What if you have two rings of spellstoring? Can a PC Sorcerer continue doubling the range of this spell to their liking?

When Glyph of Warding is cast can a metamagic option be used on it? Using the Spell Glyph aspect of Glyph of Warding can the spell stored in the Glyph be modified by a metamagic option? Can a Metamagic Glyph contain a Metamagic Spell? Can this be placed and then cast from a magic item and when cast from a magic item can the Glyph of Warding be cast with another/new/additional metamagic option?

If Spell Glyph is not added at the time of casting Glyph of Warding, and Glyph of Warding is cast at 5th level: when cast from a magic item can a 5th level spell be added as a Spell Glyph for the Glyph of Warding?
- References "...up to the same level slot you use" in upcasting. When casting from an item are you using a slot? The answer might invalidate the spell's level at your table.

If a cleric casts a 5th level Glyph of Warding into a magic item with a maximum storing power of 5 levels while attuned to the Book of Exalted deeds is the spell stored?

If a cleric attuned to the Book of Exalted Deeds casts a 3rd level Glyph of Warding from one magic item into another storing magic item is the stored Glyph of Warding now 4th level?

I for one live in a world where a Sorcerer Cleric Deep Gnome is living in Blingdonstone happily working away each day meticulously curating her collection of magic rocks stored with 9th level Guiding Bolts (which are cast at 10th level!) that have been metamagic amplified to have a range of one hundred twenty-five million eight hundred twenty-nine thousand one hundred twenty miles so that some day... in the twilight of her years, or her daughter's years... some day... she will come up to the light of the surface... and attack the god damn sun.
