Is there a way to get Bardic Performance on a Magus, Eldritch Scoundrel archetype Rogue, or Investigator (without giving up extracts)? Third party material is fine. The important thing is "Sixth level casting, Bardic Performance, 3/4 BAB, and not actually a Bard" (Skald counts as bard, so does Variant Multiclass Bard secondary)

Variant Multiclassing (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/character-advancement/#Core_Classes) does it just fine.

Does a 9 level caster count? (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/cleric/archetypes/paizo-cleric-archetypes/evangelist)

Well, I know about Evangelist and Ocean's Echo, which are both 9th level casters. There's also Martyr and Oath of the People's Council if I don't mind a 4th level caster. I was just really hoping to find a sixth level arcane caster.

Thanks though. Maybe I should look into prestige classes?

The GM had facetiously forbade me from making a bard (because I am trying to talk the group into making a party of nothing but bards for Kingmaker) and I wanted to make a character that was a bard in everything but name.

Plugging "Bardic Performance" into Archives of Nethys gets:
Argent Dramaturge
Ashavic Dancer
Aspis Agent
Battle Herald
Dawnflower Anchorite
Lion Blade
Noble Scion
Pathfinder Chronicler
Sphere Singer
Steel Falcon

Some 'stack with' but don't grant the ability.
Some give 'similar to, but does it's own thing'.

The only 'keeper' would be Pathfinder Chronicler, which doesn't get it until 3rd level, and doesn't progress casting.

Thanks Grarrrg.

So, Fey Bloodline Sorcerer with Bloodline Familiar gets a Familiar that can fascinate as the Bardic Performance. I don't suppose that could count as the character having access to bardic performance?

You could always be a multiclass fighter/rogue/sorcerer who specializes in enchantment spells (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0050.html)...

Taking some levels in Pathfinder Chronicler is probably the best way to straight up get bardic performance. Losing the caster levels isn't even much of a problem if you WANT a 2/3 caster anyway.

Hm. That's an interesting point. Can Lore Warden stack with an archetype that gives Bardic Performance?

Depends. If you're looking at Pathfinder Chronicler, it's not an archetype, it's a prestige class. I don't know of a fighter archetype that gives bardic performance (the only reference for Lore Warden I found was a fighter archetype), so if you know of one it'll stack so long as they don't replace the same feature. If you multiclass and apply the Lore Warden archetype to your fighter levels, and another archetype to your levels of another class to get BP, they'll stack just fine since they don't apply on the same levels.

What about a Medium with the Storyteller archetype? You get Bardic Performance (kinda) at level 2, you're BAB15, and while you're only a level 4 caster, you can always channel the Archmage or Hierophant spirit to fix that. You're also CHA based and have a bonus to Knowledge skills.

I'll have to check that out, thanks for the suggestion.
