Does a anti magic area temporarily remove the effects from your magical equipment or does it only affect spell casting?

As in antimagic field? It affects many things, including magic items and summoned creatures.

Thats the spell right? Thought about something else, maybe its called dead magic zones? As in areas of the world where something have happened to turn it into a no magic area.
Or is this not a thing in 5e?

Dead Magic. In rare areas of dead magic, the Weave is absent. Not only do spells and magic items cease to function, but even the supernatural abilities of creatures that are innately tied to the Weave might fail as the knot of the Weave they carry with them unravels.

Cool thanks were pondering if I should dump CON and choose a 19 con item as my uncommon magic item in an upcoming game lol
but probably best not to then. xD
