so you just cleared out a temple to tiamat, and were saved from a TPK by another dragon who's wish it is that you turn the temple into one now revering her instead. this dragon has given you "free run" of the collection of items in the hoard that has been collected over the decades. what do you look for?

the DM has basically said we can submit a wishlist of items, and he'll decide from there what to grant. vaults include weapons, rings, staffs, rods, wands, armor, coins, books, scrolls, etc, etc.

I'm a summoner/caster focused druid, currently lvl 6. we've been fairly low wealth to this point, prior to "defeating" the priestess of tiamat, we'd already liberated a huge pile of platinum and dumped it into a portable hole...

Ring of the Beast in Complete Champion is probably one of the best items a summoner druid can get.
The Armor of the Beast and Mantle of the Beast in that same book are also worthwhile if you wild shape.

Monk's Belt (DMG, adds Wis bonus to AC) + Wilding Clasp (MIC) so it still functions when you wild shape.

The four pieces of the Raiment of the Four set are pretty good, but you would need a Wilding Clasp for each if you wild shape.

Circlet of Rapid Casting (MIC), also needs a Wilding Clasp.

Necklace of Adaptation (DMG) is one of the best items you can ever have. Also needs a Wilding Clasp.

Any of the Necessary Magic Items (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?187851-3-5-Lists-of-Necessary-Magic-Items) that you can't do with your spells or wild shaping.

You can add many effects to an existing item for the same price as a standalone item of the same bonus, per MIC p234. So any ring you ask for, also ask that it have a Deflection bonus to AC added. Any head or neck item, ask that it also has an enhancement bonus to Wis added.

Eggynack's Being Everything (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1shTP_iyGQN2L43pmQO1wausVD9dtiK97SnLO6hqRRxY/mobilebasic) druid guide has some good advice about magic items.

Ring of the beast and mantle of the beast are very good. The armor is meh, and prevents the monk's belt from granting wis bonus to AC.

Sandals of the vagabond are useful if you like going before the monsters (+2 luck bonus to initiative).

A pearl of speech is useful for communicating with your party while in wildshape.

If you do a lot of self buffing (druid list is very good for this) a ring of counterspells (for Greater Dispel Magic) can save you from a targeted dispel magic.

You don't count as wearing armor if it's Wild armor and you're wild shaped. The armor still melds into your form, everything about it is lost except the armor bonus to your AC, so if it's medium or heavy armor your speed isn't reduced as though you're armored, the max Dex bonus doesn't apply, etc. Thus you can still benefit from Wis to AC from the Monk's Belt if you're wild shaped and wearing wild armor such as Armor of the Beast.

I've always been a fan of gear that doesn't need a Wilding Clasp to function.

- Third Eye (especially Clarity or Freedom) -- either MIC or XPH

- Symbiotes -- Fiend Folio, Eberron books -- for example the Psionic Sinew from FF grants you claws that deal 1d12 damage, a +4 [Force] armor bonus to AC, and +4 enhancement to Str. Also it eats your blood, but you're a Druid so you can lesser restoration that problem away.

There are also some items which explicitly work during Wild Shape, for example the Raiment of the Stormwalker from MIC -- an item set not as good as Raiment of the Four, but all of the Stormwalker items work in Wild Shape, and the Bracers of Lightning are a solid boost to any multi-attack shape including big-cat Pounce forms.
