I'm thinking about applying for a job in the local comic book store in the style of a character sheet.
Using 5e how would you create it?

Cute idea. You will need to modify the skills to be things you are good at

Customer Service: 15
People Skills: 17
Knowledge Tabletop Games: 18
Knowledge Board Games: 15
etc

Weapon Attack: "How can I help you" +7 to hit, 1d8+Charisma helpfulness

It will certainly make your CV stand out. That being said, it will also be incredibly hard to read. You may want to consider doing it, then also putting a "normal" CV attached in case they want to see it in a normal way.

Make your CV as character sheet and attach to it your background (your normal CV).

Set attributes normally, like: STR 10 DEX 8 Con 13 INT 14 WIS 12 CHA 15

Change skill names (or don't) and set your personal proficiences.

Other proficiences and language put the languages you know and the tools you're proficient with (internet, office etc).

Under equipment throw some comics or nerdy stuff you own (that has similarities with the job) and the outfit you'll use to work, like: jeans pants, social shirt, glasses, sneakers...

Traits, ideals, bonds and flaws are awesome, since you normally use something like that on a normal CV.

Features and traits, use for personal traits. Like good communication, workaholic... those general stuff used on CV.

Where would you drop previous work experience into a character sheet?

If you use the 2 page AL sheet, you could use it under "Allies and Organizations". Also throw in a photo, fill age, height, weight, eyes, skin, hair and add a backstory.

For that particular job is a very nice idea, but the original CV has to be attached to it for formal purposes.
