Is there a cheaper version of the magic item Weirdstone from players guide to Faerun, the weirdstone affects a 6 mile area, but costs 250,000 gp, is there a cheaper item that affects a smaller area that costs less?

It prevents all astral/planar travel, all teleportation, and all scrying effects within a 6-mile radius. It also prevents people using the "teleport" option from wish to bypass most of the popular teleport-counters. Player's Guide to Faerun p. 124.

If you're playing a paranoid wizard in GODMODE, it's essentially your #1 "NOPE!" card to prevent people from ****ing with you. If you're in Tippyverse, then it's the best way to protect the nodes of the teleportation circle network.

For the OP, if all you need is a way to stop teleport... check out Forbidding Sigils in the Stronghold Builder's Guide Web Enhancement (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20020505a). Only 12,200 GP. Otherwise, you're probably looking at creating a permanent dimensional lock or forbiddance of some sort. Forbiddance is cheaper (660 GP) but not portable. A custom magic item with a continuous dimensional lock would be... not so cheap: 8 x 15 x 2000 x 0.5 = 120,000 GP.

In Dungeonscape, there's also this stuff called "anchor mists" which prevents dimensional travel/teleportation, but there's no information on how to create it, contain it, or move it.

Those miss the important function of a weirdstone, which is that it only stops the effects one way. You can still teleport out of a weirdstone-warded area, but no one outside can teleport in.

There was a thread about this a while back that has some additional ideas:
