Changing a spell's school

So, we had a question come up that I'd never considered before and haven't looked into before.
Other than researching a customized spell, is there any official way in 3.X to change a spell's school? For example, changing Mage Armor from Conjuration to Abjuration.

There's a metamagic feat in Dragon Compendium that changes mind-affecting Enchantment spells into Necromancy (and makes them affect undead).

A Transmuter with the Spell Versatility (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/specialistWizardVariants.htm#spellVersatility) ACF can change a small number of spells to Transmutation.

There's a Transmuter variant that allows you to choose a spell to treat as Transmutation instead of its normal school.

Shadow Conjuration and Shadow Evocation sort of do this.

I feel like there might be a way to make a spell Necromancy as well, but can't remember offhand.

I don't know of anything that'll work for your purposes though.

I'm AFB, but doesn't Dread Witch do that? Or Fell Frighten?

No one in my group ever actually plays a wizard these days, so I never seem to remember them. Thanks!

I don't know of anything that'll work for your purposes though.I don't really have any specific purposes. Swapping mage armor just happened to be the first example I could think of when making the thread. Good thoughts though.
