Has anyone ever done anything with Glimmerskin? They're a funky creature form MM2(p.114) that can bond with a host and grant it many combat bonuses.
The relevant part is that it can grant its own feats to the host. All of them. And the portable positive energy effect isn't bad either.
It does list rules for PC glimmerskins, though they're insanely prohibitive in a normal game (LA+15, really?).
Anyone have any ideas how they can be abused in a game?
The only obvious one is Shapechange, but that's 9th level and is essentially a funky form of the psionic Fusion.
