I could use suggestions on gear and spells for a cleric of a god of commerce, wealth and conspicuous consumption. There are two parts to this:
1. Gear.
The cleric is third level, so using Pathfinder WBL he’s got 3000 gp to work with. I’m open to all official 3.5 and Paizo sources, and I’m especially interested in something that would help him show off his wealth and impress others with the importance of venerating holy commerce.
2. Spells.
Right now the cleric is holed up with several allies in a defensible space that’s about to need some vigorous defense. The cleric is aware of this and will have chosen his spells accordingly.
My question is—which spells are good choices for this situation? As with gear, I’m open to all official 3.5 and Paizo material. The cleric is a sword-and-board melee fighter when he needs to be, but he’s the only dedicated spellcaster in the group, so he’s willing to focus on casting if that becomes necessary.
