I have an idea for a fiendish vessel pitborn tiefling cleric of socothbenoth with these stats:

str 15
dex 16
con 7
int 5
wis 16
cha 18

domains: evil (demon), travel

base land speed: 50 ft

alt features: maw (bite attack)

feats: weapon proficiency (longbow)

traits: rich parents and wanderlust
drawback: zealous

Any ideas on a backstory/personality/appearance/dialogue based on the information above?

As a PC or NPC? Because... At Int 5, I don't expect him to formulate any good ideas. Sounds like someone smart enough to realize he could be doing great things in life, likely enslaved to a smarter entity who feeds his ego to actually get things done. No original ideas on his part (Hopefully his patron thinker has trained independent self-thought out of him) and very little understanding of what he is asked or told to do without constant reinforcement. He can figure out, kinda, what he should or should not be doing, but has to be 'trained' what is good or not. Wholly new situations or things without prior experience would probably be terrifying and uncomfortable for him, and he may act rashly to compensate.

He does, however, have a very high charisma and wisdom. What he could do, is take an idea that his patron thinker gives him, and market it very, very well. Think a snake oil salesman, but snake oil made by demons. Probably corrupts people, incites jealousy in others, that kind of thing. With a 50ft move, Wanderlust, and longbow proficiency... Well, it also sounds like he has a high enough wisdom to figure out the right moment to skip town and make for the next little hamlet along the way.

His 'rich parents' could be the money made from the endless series of schemes and scams he undertakes, rather than actually from his parents. He's made a lot of money, but has also earned a lot of trouble along the way. He's learned that other people feel as strongly about him taking their money as he feels about wanting to take it - what started as a desire to have food and drink became a greed for finer things, and his Drawback, Zealous, could represent that he has decided he will never, ever go back to being homeless again.

He would be the kind to stridently demand the best accomodations everywhere they went, and would spend his money thoughtlessly - after all, it's not really his money, is it? - on the premise that, if he needed, he could always break out his demonsnake oil case and go huckstering for coins. ("See the women turn green with envy! Watch the men turn red with lust! The Tincture of Desire will give you all that you require - and cheaply, at the price!")

As far as his actual divine patronage, he would likely be relatively quiet about it unless in a place where it would be 'acceptable', in which case he would be crying long and loud the virtues and vices of his Lord, your Lord, our Lord, the true master of Love and War... Socothbenoth!

So far, my backstory is this:

Szuszuko Imahara is a pitborn tiefling who was born from the union of a high-level female human cleric, who was also a noble in the king’s court, and male half-demon spawned by Socothbenoth himself. His early childhood was unremarkable, and save for occasional bullying from the other children due to his fiendish features, he was treated well and was sheltered, having access to the finer things in life. Luckily for Szuszuko, his rate of aging took more after his human side than his fiendish side, so he was practically grown by the time his mother was caught consorting with demons. Szusuko hid in the closet as two paladins and a wizard confronted her. She tried lying her way out of the situation, but the paladin said they had all the proof they needed and she was to be gagged and bond and sent to court. When she tried fighting back out of desparation, she was slain. The paladin heard Szuszuko wimpering in the closet, and spared him when Szuszuko promised the paladin he would be good and began to cry. Later that night, he fled his home, carrying as much of his mother’s belongings as he could carry. He remembered his mother said his grandfather was Socothbenoth, and after saying a prayer, he felt the demon lord enter him.

As the grandchild of the very powerful demon lord, he learned how to charm and dazzle potential lovers, peddling “cures” and junk for as much as pedestrians will pay while in those lovers’ towns, then leaving town if he became once he sensed he had overstayed his welcome. He pawned off most of his mothers belongings, and now has a decent amount of loot on his person. He didn’t sell ALL of his courtly belongings, however. He kept some of his
nicer clothes and his signet ring. When he comes back for vengence, he wants to look to look good doing it.

A dumb Tiefling with CHR 18? Oh, honey. This guy's either dead or someone's bondage slave.
