How exactly would one calculate a sleight of hand attempt while invisible. Say an invisible character wants to steal an item from another character, what modifiers would they get for having the added bonus of being invisible? Would using a sleight of hand attempt break invisibility (even though it isn't an attack)? Would you need to use greater invisibility?
Edit: 3.5

As it isn't an attack, it doesn't break invisibility. The DC to successfully pick the pocket remains unchanged. Should the target notice the pickpocketing, he still can't see the pickpocket, though, so said thief can pocket the stolen item to render it also invisible and move off.

Using Sleight of Hand will not break an Invisibility spell.

However, objects touched by invisible creatures remain visible, unless hidden beneath clothing or in something similar carried by the invisible creature. Thus, a botched pickpocket attempt by an invisible creature will result in the character failing to procure the item and making the mark aware of the presence of groping hands on his or her person. At minimum, they will see a possession of theirs removed from their pocket and floating in the air in front of them.

Sleight of Hand wouldn't break invisibility, but a disarm attempt would, since it requires an attack roll. Depends on what your DM classifies a "small object".

The DM might grant up to a +2 circumstance bonus at their discretion.
