Homebrew Monster Challenge: “Snake Bird”

Another photo manip I did ages back; hummingbird/snake hybrid.

I feel like this one would work best as part of a swarm, poisonous bite, VERY fast and I had an interesting idea of making them like progeny of Quetzalcoatl sharing a similar feathered serpent theme.

I could see them working together to subdue a single larger target, delivering a poisonous bite that’s weak individually but exponentially has a more intense effect with each successful attack from the swarm.

Any thoughts?

For a quick build, I’d use the stats for a murder of crows, strip off any special attacks beyond the swarm damage, and add a poison. Probably just use viper venom. Anyone who takes swarm damage must save vs. the poison.
