Mystic Build Question

I see Mystic builds all over the internet, and most everyone that I can recall, has hand picked spells over multiple orders.

For example - character build - picks Order of the Immortal, but takes an Awakened discipline, with a Whu Jen, a Nomad and a Soul Knife thrown in.

Does the order have to take only the disciplines in it's order?

Does someone have the definitive answer on this?

At first level*, you get two bonus disciplines, which must be within your order. All others can be from any order you want.


*Except Soulknife, which doesn't get bonus disciplines.

You may learn Disciplines from any order. The bonus Disciplines that orders other than Soul Knife take at level 1 must belong to the specified order, but they may be retrained at level up.
