View Full Version : Is there a way in AL, as a player or a DM, that lets you retrain a character?

Here's the situation. I want to play a Light Cleric, because they're blasty. However, I also want to play an Arcana Cleric at level 17, because they can grab certain wizard options that other clerics can't, such as Wish and Contingency and Simulacrum and Antipathy/Sympathy.

My plan is this: play as a Light Cleric for levels 1 - 16, and then switch over to Arcana Cleric. My question is: is there any scenario reward or DM reward or whatever that would let me do this legally?

I'm almost 100% sure that it's impossible after level 5. You can change everything but your name until that level. I might suggest checking out the AL primer.

However, it takes FOREVER to get to a high AL level, so I wouldn't take arcane cleric for 17th level stuff, unless you want 1-16 stuff, too. Best to go just light

There are DM rewards and Certs to do later level rebuilds
