I'm about to enter a new campaign set in Eberron using Pathfinder rules. Allowed sources are anything first party, this Eberron material conversion (https://sites.google.com/site/eberronpathfinder/), and Ultimate Psionics. 20 point buy, 2 traits, level 1. I want to make an Artificer that acts as backup beatstick and support. I'm not looking to snap the game over my knee; this is just unexplored territory for me. What scrolls/wands should I be investing in, and which magic items should I make a bee-line for?

Here's a bunch of suggestions (www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?423754-Myrrh-Frankincense-and-Steel-Kurald-Galain-s-Guide-to-the-Magus) that should apply to any Gish.

Infusions complement items a lot. Particularly Metamagic Item is quite relevant even without Persistent Spell, free enhancements for long-term buffs (think Empower Spell for Greater False Life or Extend Spell for various stat buffs and such) and things like Weapon Augmentation, Lesser (Bane is pretty darn good) and Armor Augmentation, Lesser influence the things you should put on your actual items.

Far as buffs go, you definitely want to scavenge the Paladin and the Ranger lists. Named Bullet (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/n/named-bullet/) (combine with Abundant Ammunition (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/a/abundant-ammunition/) for hilarity), Litany of Righteousness (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/l/litany-of-righteousness/) (or any Litany), etc. make for incredible buffs. From the arcane/divine lists, if you melee you'll definitely want Enlarge Person (might want to consider Potions since they're standard action to use while Scrolls and Wand have 1 round casting time), and you can consider either Divine Favor (caster level 9) or Divine Power. False Life or Greater is also nice. Of course you get Greater Magic Weapon and Magic Vestment as Infusions so no need to go for those. Haste is obviously something you want though you might want to go for Boots of Speed instead - free action activation is nice and 10 rounds tends to suffice daily. If you ever want full BAB, you can always use Scroll of Tenser's Transformation. Also, all the Dragonshape spells are really good particularly on a warrior type like you. If you want to combine polymorphing with weapons, Giant Shape spells are also interesting. You can mix'n'match, picking the best form for any given task.

Pathfinder has a lot in terms of ridiculous items; Fogcutting Lens (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/h-l/lenses-fogcutting/) combined with e.g. Eversmoking Bottle (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/bottle-eversmoking/) (or Fog-spells or such) are just ridiculous for example and the various broken and damaged Ioun Stones confer insane benefits for their price (Goz Mask (http://www.pathfindercommunity.net/magic-items/wondrous-items/goz-mask) is of course a strictly better Fogcutting Lens). In this sense, Pathfinder is probably even more of an Artificer's Playground than 3.5. You'll have to figure out exactly what you'd like to do though. Many of the Core items are powerful "the oldfashioned way" but there are also some insanely powerful combinations that you might want to go for.
