Yawning Portal Cover

I was wondering if those of you with more knowledge of D&D lore could help me.
On the cover of the Yawning Portal it there are some characters associated with the dungeons. Two of these however do not appear in the actual adventure:

Mialee (Sunless Citadel)
Tordek (Forge of Fury)

Does anyone know who they are and what associations they have with the respective dungeons?

If I recall correctly, they were iconic characters in 3.0/3.5. The dwarf was the iconic fighter, the elf was the iconic wizard. But they weren't in any adventures as NPCs.

The original cover art for those two adventures depicted the iconic 3e PC class art (initially in the 3e PHB) for the D&D holy ... uh, quadrinity(?) of races / classes combos.

Jazan, Human Cleric
Tordek, Dwarf Fighter
Lidda, Halfling Rogue
Mialee, Elven Wizard

I'm sure the rest of the modules in the series did as well. Edit: I looked them up, and the rest of the modules of that series start depicting other iconic characters, per randomodo's wiki link above.

Yeah, I think Angry GM refers to them as the genericons. There were more (might be mistakes, I’m going from memory):

Krusk - M Half-Orc Barbarian
Gimble - M Gnome Bard
Vadania - F Half-Elf Druid
Regdar - M Human Fighter
Ember - F Human Monk
(Can’t remember) - Paladin
Soveliss - M Elf Ranger
Hennett - Half-Elf Sorcerer
