DESCRIPTION
A +1 dagger with a thin, vividly black blade, this weapon allows the wielder who can use the Sneak Attack feature to forego successful sneak attacks to impose a penalty to struck targets attack rolls and saving throws equal to the number of sneak attack dice that would have been dealt to the target for 1d4+1 rounds. Creatures immune to critical hits are also immune to this effect. Magical healing on the target immediately ends this effect.
Scoring a critical hit with this weapon increases the penalty by 2 for those who have the ability to use Sneak Attacks. If wielded by someone without the ability to use sneak attacks, this weapon functions as a +1 dagger that imposes a -2 penalty to the targets attack rolls and saving throws for 1d4+1 rounds.
