One of our players is a sapient metal construct. His metal body has been turned to stone. He's fine, but he's supposed to be metal. How can I (sorcerer) or my apprentice (cleric) return him to normal?

My apprentice is a few levels weaker- he's a level 7 cleric.

The thought of having stone to flesh cast on him makes me very, very uncomfortable.

Break Enchantment? What made him stone?

Fumes from some gigantic unidentified ooze thing- a monster ability.

Break Enchantment should work so long as the effect is at all magical. If it doesnt then the GM just kinda wants it tgat way i'd guess.

Polymorph Any Object (Greater Polymorph? can't remember the exact name) could also work.

Wish should most certainly be able to do the deed but us subject to GM shenaniganery.

Break enchantment should still work, or failing that limited wish.

I don't think a metal construct should have been affected by flesh to stone; it explicitly only works on creatures of flesh
