Me and my wife have been playing tales of berseria lately and she's quite taken with the protagonists ability to consume her foes and gain abilities from them and wanted to see if theres any pc available parralel she could play, I couldn't find anything but was hoping you folk here in the playground could help me.

Well, if you allow 3rd Party Content, Spheres of Power offers the Experimentalist (http://spheresofpower.wikidot.com/experimentalist) archetype for the Thaumaturge (http://spheresofpower.wikidot.com/thaumaturge) class, which does pretty much exactly what you want.

Another one you might want to take a look at might be The Connoisseur (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?232699-The-Blue-Book-Preview-No-1-The-Connoisseur!). It is a spin-off class from Xenoalchemy (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?205119-Must-Affix-Everything-to-Everything!-(Grafts-That-Don-t-Make-Me-Cry-Myself-To-Sleep)) which sounds like it might be right up your alley as well.
