Hello. First I’m using iPhone so lot harder to get everything. I might miss stuff.

I’m trying to reverse level to see how the character will turn out at level 20 to see if I should go Bard (lore: for more skills, spells from other class and inspiration dice on ability rolls at 14th) or Rogue (Assassin for assassinate, create false identity, imposter, death strike)

I try to duplicate everything I can to get a better review. Please give suggestions and critique.

Character concept Drow Female. Good at social and combat as support or damage
Background Entertainer. Trained by Drow clan as an entertainer singer, poet, story teller to gain access to rivals to seduce, persuade , or eliminate them. Which could be Bard but Rogue performer works also.
For now unknown reason sent to above world
(Banishment, or mission) her facade sweet polite demeanor she weaves her songs stories to prove the Drow were wrongly persecuted in times long ago and encourage good will.

Stats (Bard)/Rogue *
Str 8, Int 12, Wis 10, Con 14, Dex (18)20*, Cha 20. (Rogue gets +2 dex more than Bard)
Feats : Actor, Lucky (Same)
Skills: (Bard get better stealth intimidation and Extra History over Rogue. Rest are equal)
acrobatics (16)17*
Slight of Hand (16)17*
Stealth (10)5*
History (7) -*
Perception (6)6*
Deception (17)17*
Intimidation (11)5*
Performance (17)17*
Persuasion (17)17*

Bard: inspiration dice lvl 3 vs enemy attack, ability roll or damage. Lvl 14 added to my ability roll
Bard: lvl 6 counter charm fear
Bard: Magic Secret. Lvl 6 get 2 spells 1-3rd from any class. lvl 10 get 2 spells 1-5th from any class
Bard: lvl 20 regain 1 inspiration dice if none
Bard: Spells lvl 1(4), 2(3), 3(3), 4(3), 5(3), 6(2), 7(2), 8(1), 9(1).

Rogue sneak attack lvl 20 10d6
Lvl 2 dash, disengage, hide bonus action
Assassinate lvl 3 (Surprise = critical hit.)
Lvl 3 Advantage against creature who had not taken attack action in the combat yet
Lvl 5 dodge: reaction take 1/2 damage
Lvl 7 evasion dex save no damage fail 1/2 damage
Lvl 9 false identity
Lvl 11 talent ability rolls with proficiency 9< = 10
Lvl 13 imposter sound act handwrite like someone
Lvl 14 hear hidden/ invisible within 10 feet
Lvl 15 prof wisdom
Lvl 18 cannot be targeted by advantage attack’s
Lvl 20 make an attack auto hit or make ability roll a 20.

Breakdown
Social setting they both have similar skills but Bard edges out on history hiding intimidation and inspiration dice in ability roll.
Disguise: bard and rogue have actor feat. But rogue gets little more with imposter. Bard can spell disguise self rogue can infiltrate and imposter.
Bard can add spells to social setting Rogue cannot
Attack: rogue beats bard for damage
Sneak attack assassinate deathstrike
Bard would need spell damage enhance
Most spells are support. But 4 spells can be taken from any class that make wider options.
Defensive: rogue wins with dash disengage hide uncanny dodge evasion elusive
Although bard can defensive spells shield wall force if picked.

Help appreciated

. Looking for a more well rounded review on what might be better during the lvl 1-12 as your still building character. Although showing the final lvl 20 gives what it will be at the end
