I don't know about this "oyu" person, but I certainly think that it is just a coincidence.

Then again, this allows us to precisely guesstimate Vaarsuvius's age.

That Julia is 16 and she has 16 appearances?

So..this means she is 1 year old her first appearance, 2 her second, 3 her third, etc? :smallconfused:

^ No! She gets 16 appearances every 16 years!

This means she gets another 16 when she's 32, 48, 64 etc

I send you to this list (http://www.capeutservir.com/verbes/uk_verbes_irreguliers.php)of irregular verbs in English. You'll notice that it's "to spell, I spelt (past) I have spelt (present perfect).

I think "to spell" is probably like "to learn". The correct form is irregular (I learnt, I have learnt), but a lot of people use it like a regular verb ("I learned, I have learned")

I've always seen it marked as spelled wrong before. Speaking of which, I always saw spelled as the correct version. Queer.

Do you think it's a coincidence that roy is 295 and has exactly that many appearances?

Nah, "spelled" is an adjective I think, similar to "bewitched".

You made a grammar error: didn't do nothing. *points an accusatory finger and makes a sour face while sticking his tongue out* :smallyuk:

Nevermind, "he didn't do nothing" is acceptable in this situation since he's correcting someone who said "he did nothing". *straightens his face, brings his tongue back in and recoils his finger*

Nice comeback. Jerk.I assume that the reply, "Queer," was meant as, "How odd (that I was always taught this was wrong)," not as an insult to the previous poster.

Do you say hung or hanged?

Nah, "spelled" is an adjective I think, similar to "bewitched".If we're grammar-nazi'ing, spelled could be a verbal. Probably a past participle. That would, indeed, make it an adjective. But, the -ed ending doesn't guarantee that, and it seems like a verb in most cases. Example: He spelled that word wrong.

He is the subject, spelled is the verb. I can't think of any cases where it would be used as a verbal. My advice would be to go with whatever the dictionary says.

Yeah, according to the dictionary, spelt is the british past and a past participle. So, it turns out spelt could be an adjective. Unless I read the entry wrong in some way.

Wow. I must say. OWN'D!!!!!!!

:vaarsuvius: :smallsigh: I do believe that the proper form of that word is in fact OWNED, as opposed to OWN'D. PWNED may also be acceptable in this particular situation, but OWN'D and PWN'D most assuredly are not.

I prefer being well hung, and would not so much prefer to be well hanged.
