I'd like to read more about this region in the Forgotten Realms, but aside from a couple pages and a few scattered mentions in the campaign setting I can't seem to find anything about it! Nothing in Shining South (which I've checked before learning that Mulhorand isn't actually in the South), nothing in Unapproachable East, nothing in Lost Empires of Faerun, obviously nothing in Sandstorm... I ran out of ideas about where to look.

Do you know about any other book I should check?

You are correct - there are no 3.0/3.5 books that go into any more detail on the kingdom/empire, than FRCS does.

However, Races of Faerun does cover the Mulhorandi as a people in a little more detail.

Reading this is kind of hilarious. I wanted to look at Mulhorand because I was curious about how to make an Egyptian fantasy empire or town work with examples other than Terry Pratchett's "Pyramids": it seems more than some people at WotC shared some of my doubts, but decided to gloss over them rather than expand on them.

Can't help you with Mulhorand specifically, but if your actual goal is "ways to do fantasy Egypt" there are all kinds of other sources you can draw ideas from - whether it's Pathfinder's Osirion and Geb, to Lovecraft, films like the Mummy series, and even anime sources like Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Find a copy of "The Kingdom of Nithia" for Hollow World. it's probably the best D&D specific supplement you will find for D&D Pharaonic Egypt.

To tell you the truth it's 50% "ways to do fantasy Egypt" and 50% "how to do and run that in d&d", but I'll definitely look at those sources thanks. Fun of you to mention Yu-Gi-Oh!, since all this started when I decided I had to make an Egyptian empire with runesmith dwarves inscribing their spells on small stone tablets (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?552704-Crunch-that-incentivizes-fluff) as noblemen.

I'll look into these, thank you both for your suggestions!

Old Empires is the best book with information on Mulhorand. It's a 1E book.

In 2E there is a lot of detail in Powers and Pantheons about the Mulhorand religion.

Mulhorand never made it into much detail in 3E, 4E or 5E.
