My rogue went Ulfen just to get Berserker's Cry:

Once per day, as a move action, you may unleash a powerful, bloodthirsty scream of battle lust and fury. Allies within 60 feet who can hear your berserker’s cry (including yourself ) are heartened and gain a +1 morale bonus on damage rolls made with melee attacks for a number of rounds equal to half your character level + your Charisma bonus. If you have the ability to rage, you may unleash a berserker’s cry as part of the free action to enter a rage (instead of as a separate move action).

A creature may be under the effect of only one berserker’s cry at a time.

I'm actually going to give the yell in the game store when I do this (the Warhammer 40k guys holler all the time no problem)

I'm practicing a rebel yell YaaaaOWEE!

What (nonobscene) battle cries do you suggest?

can you tell us anything about your character?

phb2 has the surprisingly not terrible suggestion of [a shriek like a high-pitched yowl of a wildcat]

Zim is a twenty year old professional burglar who feels justified in robbing the evil rich of Cheliax. He's helped slaves escape in the past. He's a devotee of Milani, Good goddess of Revolution and Freedom, and just signed on to a group looking to push back against the Hellknights, and he's already helped in one prisoner escape.

He is a six-foot-two tiefling of Ulfen descent and was raised as an orphan on the streets of the city. He speaks Infernal, Halfling, Gnome, and Goblin, so he could holler in a rare language. Right now he fights with two masterwork shortswords.

The party has a tiefling Arcane Archer, an elf arcanist, a human fighter, a human storm druid, and a human cleric of Milani.

I was thinking something like a Zulu salute: "BaYEte! Milaniiiiii!" but from the feat he'll be yelling it in place of a move so not as he charges.

You might look up some videos of maori haka war dances and pick a choice snippet that's easy to remember. The New Zealand All Blacks do one to psych up before a rubgy game.

You might consider looking up words in foreign languages that describe animal sounds. For example, in Japanese, hoero (hoe-eh-row) is the verb "to bark" or "to howl;" the onamotapoetic sound of roaring is "gao" (rhymes with cow). These noises are very intimidating when bellowed at full volume, let me assure you.

Another option, if you want something more verbal, is to use imperative verbs. Describe in one word what you want your enemy to do. "Die!" "Bleed!" "Disappear!" "RUN!" "Fight me!"

Personally, I like absurdist humor, so my battle cries tend to be a bit bizarre, like, "It's a BEAUTIFUL DAY!" Or, "How is your MEDICAL COVERAGE?" Or, "Let's have a FRIENDLY CONVERSATION!" Usually these immediately precede improvised facial surgery by means of a large axe-like object, which explains their absurd disjunction from context.

I think, OP, you are describing the wilhelm scream? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xn6hhrX34Pw

Dont do that. Not only is it a very hard scream to do, its not really a war cry.

What I would suggest is either a Maori scream, or perhaps, well,

A few years ago, Discovery channel put out an advert with a chatchy song. In the song, people sing the nonsense phrase Boom-Day-Yada. Not very terrifying. Except for a small portion of that song, where an African (sorry, I cant narrow down the country) tribesman screams the phrase. Its terrifying. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at_f98qOGY0

Of course, there is one call of dominance that, if you can pull it off, will certainly scare the pants of everyone in the room. Kinda requires you to be an opera singer though. You know the one I mean...

Have fun ;)

Tarzan may be beyond me

If you enjoyed that check out the film "Zulu" which had a number of silly errors BUT involved going to Natal Province and getting the actual Zulus to perform in their grandfather's places using their own language. I understand at one point they're chanting contemporary Zulu political slogans ("See those guys? Shove them out of there! BAMBAMBAM!") but still impressive.

in that clip they're yelling the royal salute ("BaYEte") then their clan name as they charge ("USuthu")

Yes I could just make an English phrase my own kickass phrase.
