Symbiotic Creatures

Hello,
I was wondering if the folks here could help me out in a bit of research.
I am looking for Symbiotic creatures.
Examples i've found are the Symbiont from the Eberron campaign and the Symbiotic creatures from Sword & Sorcery's Creature Collection.

I'm looking for ones more similar to the S&S style like the Arcane Symbiote in Creature Collection 2 pg 8 but i've yet to find anything along those lines.

Would anyone have any suggestions on where i could look for similar creatures?

This is exactly where my mind jumped to as well. In particular, the Ghostly Visage struck me as relevant; this is especially true because they are easily available to any player willing to dip into Dread Necromancer, a base class that can receive a Ghostly Visage as a familiar.

Probably further afield from what you're looking for, but Savage Species also has the "Symbiotic" template, which lets you make any creature a symbiont with any larger creature.

Besides those already mentioned, there are also:
"Armed To the Tentacle" article (Dragon #308) have a number of Illithid-related symbionts
Dungeon #105 have Airgill, which allow (Aquatic) creatures to breath air - at the cost of permanent -1 Con
Dungeon #148 have Choke Snake, which may be more harmful than useful, but still technically count as (Symbiont)

The Aethera Campaign Setting (http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/208096/Aethera-Campaign-Setting), while being pretty cool in and of itself, includes some pretty damn fine rules for symbiotes as well as creation rules and supporting feats and rules (including the ability to 'train' your symbiotes). Some of the best stuff I've seen on the subject. All the symbiotes are plant based but it does have a section about human experimenters making aberration based ones so with a creature type swap you have additional options.

It essentially uses a hybrid of the magic item creation rules and the monster creation rules. Not sure if you want to pay money for something, but if you do, it's worth it.
