The Random Encounter Zone

If you want to fight something, anything, and don't want to waste time going through a plot, feel free to pop in here. It has every possible random encounter you could think of, from Chaos Space Marine squads, to Shoggoths, to dire wolves. Knock yourselves out. Random Encounters do not, under any circumstances, leave the zone, even if they are dominated or controlled by the encountee(the person fighting the encounter)in any way, shape, or form. Blackout will personally control all random encounter monsters and enemies. All random encounters will drop gear/loot/money/etc. at the end of the fight.

The zone is located on the far edge of town, near the woods.

The ninja, not seeing this coming, drops dead.

*victory music* Coronox gets a nice ornate knife, which is not enchanted.

Coronox tries to melt the knife, and look for another victim

The knife melts.

A pair of Tau Fire Warriors run out from behind some bushes, and fire at Coronox.

Coronox is caught off guard at first, then releases a firestorm on the tau

Two Tau pulse rifles, up for grabs.

coronox is about to melt them when T.A.C runs in, yoinking up the rifles and running off, coronox is about to melt him instead, when he deadtimes

Meira arrives, looking for some killing

....and a pack of wolves show up!

[Bayar]

Meira draws her newly enchanted dagger and shoots a Ray of frost at the wolves.

One wolf is now a fancy ice sculpture. The other three wolves run at Meira, one trying to flank her, and the other two holding her attention.

[Bayar]

Meira gets flanked, but still, she shoots a Magic Missile at the other 2

The wolves are hit, and wounded, but get up and run at her. The wolf that flanked her tries to attack her from behind.

Blackout, being a player, is invulnerable. And uber.

ZAP! Coronox is now a frog.

"I can do anything to you, anytime, anywhere. :smallamused: Now, get outta here." Coronox is zapped again, and no longer a frog.

The computer does not overheat, because of my leetness.

Coronox does not turn into a gnat, he heads out, pretty ticked off, vowing that he will return to slaughter things

The fourth wall repairs itself.

Alzair walks into the zone, and straps on a bracelet that limits his godlike power.

He finds himself mobbed by a half-dozen orcs wielding axes.

[Emperor Ing]

Ser, after being deadtimed for a LONG time, finds himself into the warzone. Waiting for a battle...

Little note, all battles are self-contained. You get into a random encounter, you're on your own, unless other people are there already. :smalltongue:

Ser finds himself attacked by eight Chaos Spawn.

Meira just wants to stab...

The wolves are hit, and wounded, but get up and run at her. The wolf that flanked her tries to attack her from behind.

Resume fight!

Ser starts hovering in the air, and fires a blast of energy at one of the Cspawns

[Bayar]

Meira does a bastard strike, attempting to stab the wolf behind her without looking behind.

She succeeds. The wolf is stabbed in the throat. The other two wolves resume their attack, one leaping for her throat, the other attacking her legs.

Coronox is attacked by a pair of Assassin Droids. Two sniper-blaster bolts fire from the foilage to his left, and come close to his head.

The Chaos Spawn that was blasted falls dead. The other seven attack like madmen.

Meira ducks from the wolf that aimed at her throat but gets bitten on the leg. She casts Burning hands on that particular wolf.

[Emperor Ing]

Ser gets hit, and knocked down, hurt. But he unleashes a telekinetic blast in the direction of the chaos spawns (push away, minimal damage)

coronox "dies out", and reforms behind the drones, and proceeds to try to melt them

The wolf yelps and backs away. The other wolf hits a tree, and crumples to the ground, unconcious.

He succeeds in melting them. Their sniper rifles and sidearms now lie on the ground, up for grabs.

The Chaos Spawns are knocked away, but get right back up.

Meira casts Ray of frost at the backing up wolf, and goes to stab the unconcious one.

She succeeds in both. Wolf fangs sell for a little bit of cash at alchemy shops, y'know...

T.A.C poofs in, stealing any drops he can find, before vanishing again

[Emperor Ing]

Ser gets up, hovers a few feet off the ground, and unleashes a volly of lightning on a group of the spawns

I dont do it so much for cash...(horde of treasure stashed in astral plane)...more for the fun of killing...

Three Spawns drop dead. The other four resume their psychotic attack.

Ser flies back, and casts a meteor strike on one of the spawns

Coronox looks for more victims, hopefully human

The spawn takes the hit, and dies. The other three spawn retreat.

Wheeee, chaos spawn corpses: Nice for selling to necromancers, and stripping down for bits and pieces.

Nope. No humans here. Just a pair of Marines from Halo with battle rifles...oh, wait.

Coronox forms the sephiroth masamune-esque blade of flames, and leaps at the marines

The marines start firing, running backwards as they do so.

Ok, since you asked so nicely, a dozen Zerglings run at Meira.

Meira unleashes her new spell...Repetitive death :smallamused:

Coronox makes a speedy dash towards them, slicing at them, he probably didn't need the dash, the blades very long

The marines are decapitated.

Marine body armor, and battle rifles, up for grabs.

The Zerglings explode in meaty chunks. No loot.

Ser goes over to the chaos spawns and looks for gold pieces. Anything else is up for grabs

Ser is LG, so he wouldnt sell the bodies to someone likely with evil intentions. Ser casts a powerful life detection spell to find something. Preferably, something superhigh leveled

The other guy who's name I forgot is attacked by a Chaos Lord.

Vader tries to force choke Ser.

The Lord raises his bolt pistol, and fires a few shots, raising his power sword, and meeting his opponents own blades.

Somlial dodges the shots with inhuman speed he swing's both down again,then bites his arm hard enough to bleed

Unfortunately for Vader, Arcane Incarnations dont breathe, so no effect

Ser fires a fireball at Vader

Vader does the awesome 'force energy absorption hand trick' from Episode V. *deep breathing* Vader whips out his lightsabre.

The powered armor the Chaos Lord is wearing protects him.

Somlial wipes some blood on his arms then flings some blood into the lords eyes,then he swings again at the space in between armor plates

Ser takes damage from the...thing that vader is doing, and in response, Ser fires a large blast of telekinetic force at Vader.

((The part where Han Solo shoots at him before he gets frozen in carbonite.))

Vader uses the Force to counteract that, and swings his lightsabre at Ser.

The Lord is blinded, and cut down. He screams in pain, and fires his bolt pistol at Somlial some more.

[Emperor Ing]

Ser attempts to dodge the saber, but gets a shallow slice on him

Ser, in pain, starts hovering in the air, way above vader (not directly overhead) and, there's glinces of orange glowing light around him

*deep breathing* Vader uses the force to try and drag him back down.

[Emperor Ing]

Ser is now glowing orange, and the light around him is coming towards him. He comes down, not changing stance, but the ground around him just vaporizes away.

[blackout]

Vader raises his lightsabre, and swings at him repeatedly, using the force to jump at him.

[Emperor Ing]

Ser is glowing ferociously. Getting too close to him (say, 1 foot) leads to vaporization

Vader vaporizes. RED LIGHTSABRE, UP FOR GRABS!

[Emperor Ing]

Ser stops his energy charging, and notices that Vader is vaporized, but the lightsaber is still intact. He picks it up, and because its an item, undamaged by Ser's vaporizing field.

Alzair looks at the orcs and laughs. He casts a Maximized Lightning Bolt at them all.

And they die....free steel armor and axes!

Ser casts healing spells on himself, and looks around for something more challenging :smallbiggrin:

He leaves the stuff and looks for harder competition.

And Ser finds it, in the form of the Cyberdemon from Doom 3.

Alzair, on the other hand, needs to contend with a Bloodthirster.

He makes a fist, and then releases it, sending a deadly toxic gas at the Bloodthirster.

Bloodthirsters don't breathe, though, so it doesn't effect him.

The Bloodthirster then attacks him with it's overgrown sword.

The meteor swarm does nothing, and the Cyberdemon begins attacking him with everything it's got.

Ser hovers into the air, and summons a meteor shower on the cyberdemon

Somlial swings his blades to cut off the lords arms at the shoulder then behead him,the bullet bounces off his thick demonic armor

He takes a step back, completely dodging the attack. He flicks his wrist, and razor sharp pieces of ice come shooting up at the bloodthirster.

Somlial succeeds.

Power sword and bolt pistol, free for looting.

The Bloodthirster takes a hit, and flies up into the air, aiming to fly-tackle him into the ground.

Alzair shoots 2 Disintigration rays at him. If they both miss, he is knocked to the ground.

[Emperor Ing]

Ser creates an arcane energy field around himself for protection. He realizes that the metors dont seem to be doing anything, so he launches a blast of arcane energy in his direction

Somlial rises his hand and drains all the blood from the corpse and it goes into the rubys on his armor, he takes the bolt pistol but leaves the power sword preferring his own.

Somlial goes searching,looking for a more fantasy like oppenent

The Cyberdemon is hit, but shakes it off. It resumes attacking.

The Bloodthirster is hit, but remains in the air. It's clearly a tough opponent.

Somlial comes across a warband of orcs with old, outdated muskets and revolvers.

Ser resorts to something else. He is still glowing with the orange vaporizing field. Ser flies at the cyberdemon's torso at a very high velocity

Somlial slit's his wrist needing more blood for his attack he starts summoning blood golem's behind the orc's

Alzair casts a Maximized Lightning Bolt at the creature, then follows up with a Meteor Storm.

Even that doesn't work, but the Cyberdemon screams it's frustration.

That puts the Bloodthirster down for a moment. It appears dead, but doesn't disintegrate.

The blood golems start ripping the orcs up.

Alzair casts a Maximized Fireball at it, just in case.

Ser bounces off
By the one! What do I have to do?
Ser looks down, and the ground beneath the cyberdemon starts shaking

Somlial charge's in covered in blood that is leaking from the ruby's, he is fireing wildly into the group with his bolt pistol and swinging his sword in the other.

The Bloodthirster disintegrates. It's sword is left behind, though.

The orcs are all killed quickly between Somlial and the blood golems. Their weapons are ok, though.

The Cyberdemon just shrieks, and roars at Ser.

Alzair picks up the bigass sword and teleports it to the shop. He then teleports out.

Once again Somlial drain's the orc's blood and his golem's blood.
He starts off again looking for something harder

Ser causes the ground beneath the cyberdemon to split open, should send the cyberdemon down into a really really big hole. :smallamused:

The Cyberdemon falls into the hole. He tries to climb back up.

A red great wyrm dragon comes from almost literally nowhere, and attacks Somlial.

Somlial summon's alotta' blood golem's and line's them up in front of him.He draw's his sword's and try's to leap on the dragon's back.

The dragon smacks at him with it's tail, and begins burning the golems with dragonfire.

Somlial swing's at it's leg's from range and hard,the blood golem's are melted into puddles' of blood but then reform when they cool down

The leg is...scratched, but not really harmed. The dragon starts trying to burn Somlial.

He leap's backward then unfurl's his wing's and take's to the air he dashes around the dragon using his speed to his advantage,while striking at it's eye's and wing's

One wing is completely severed, and the thing is now blinded. It roars in pain, and anger.

As it roar's he fire's a whole clip of bolter round's down it's throat

The thing keels over, dead. The thing doesn't have any real loot on it, but the body parts on it can be stripped off of it and sold to alchemists. :smallbiggrin:

He cut's out some teeth to make into a necklace and a horn to fashion into a dagger.

Oddly enough, a bunch of random NPCs get together, and start putting up a fence around the zone. They put a sign on a gate that says 'Random Encounter Zone: Pay to kill, then walk away with loot. 1 silver per person'

The Mechakirb prototype attacks Coronox.

T.A.C sticks to tradition, and tries to steal the loot

T.A.C. gets zapped by something, a spire in the center of the zone. It's not lethal. "NO STEALING OTHER PEOPLES' LOOT!"

A pair of small dragons attack Baron Law.

The Cyberdemon shakes it off, and climbs up out of the hole successfully. It roars, proud of itself.

The disintegrate. No loot.

Now ser is pissed
Ser casts an unidentifiable spell. It has the characteristics of disintegrate, excpet its potency, is multiplied.

*He walks more*

The spell, miraculously, works. The Cyberdemon is no more.

Baron Law finds a mindflayer.

[Nightwing]

*If the mind flair tries to suck out his brain, they will be stabbed by the pointy spikes on his helmet*

[blackout]

The mindflayer doesn't try to suck out his brain, but it does try to take control of his mind.

[Nightwing]

*Law, having strong mind powers, blocks it off. He fires a disintegrating ray at the MF*

[blackout]

The MF dies. No loot.

[Emperor Ing]

Ser, pretty satisfied, heads out. However, its likely he might randomly encounter something.

Indeed he does. Gorilla attack!

T.A.C ninja poofs in, and looks for a monster

A pair of trolls attack him, wielding big knives.

T.A.C busts out some ninja moves and suddenly there are 50 of him, forty nine swarm the trolls, while the other one sits back

The trolls just start hacking and slashing at the T.A.C.s

Ser fires a large fireball at the gorilla

Each T.A.C multiplies by 50 again, then they all pull out a pair of kunai each, and slash at the ogres

The gorilla burns. =P

The Cloaked man walks in and starts hunting

The trolls both drop dead. Apparently, they were siamese twins.

The Cloaked Man encounters...nothing.

Sliceras encounters a Chaos Marine Squad, outfitted with heavy bolters.

The Cloaked Man takes off his glasses. Showing his ferociously glowing red eyes. Thinking it will attract some monsters. He isnt trying to be stealthy.

The Chaos Marines immediately glare at him. They appear to have the markings of Tzeentch followers.

The Cloaked Man doesn't attract any monsters, but several Driders are now within view.

As he get's within range he let's loose an enormous wave of black electricity that should fry any of the Chaos marine's or any electrical things on them,he is badly winded after unleashing the attack though

Most of the Chaos Marines drop dead there. The two survivors immediately open fire.

[Emperor Ing]

The cloaked man notices the driders, and stealth-runs to them, and tries to make a sneak attack with his golden shortsword

T.A.C looks for loot as the other xhundred of him vanish

He drop's to the ground avoiding most of the shot's several nick his chest and alotta' blood leak's out. He then pull's out his scythe and cut's at there leg's

The shortsword kills the Drider he stabs. The other two notice him, and raise their weapons, a spear, and a trident. They both attack the Cloaked Man.

T.A.C. finds a pair of big knives...and that's it.

The two Chaos Marines are cut down.

T.A.C puts the knives in his bag and poofs out in a smoke bomb

Sliceras give's them mercy and and attempt's to knock them unconscious

The Chaos Marines just keep shooting, and one even drags his body across the ground to get to one of his fallen comrades' bolter.

Sliceras sigh's as he dodge's the bullet's then attempt's to reap((cut of their heads))them

They both die.

The cloaked man shoots lasers from his eyes at one of the Driders, and uses Assassin's Rush to slide away. (not run away)

The Drider with the spear burns and dies. The Drider with the Trident looks for the Cloaked Man.

Sneak attack decapitation from behind!

Sliceras take's the chaos marines tulwar if one of them has one if not he take's a bolter with ammo

He succeeds! Loot includes a scimitar, trident, and spear!

The Chaos Marines each have a tulwar and a bolter, with ammo. Each of them also has a grenade.

The cloaked man takes the spear and trident, and looks around for more random encounters.

Sliceras take's all the grenades and put's them in a pouch then a bolter and tulwar

A guy with a cane in his hands runs at the Cloaked Man. "YOU ATE MY ENCHILADA! :smallfurious: "

Another guy, this one an elf, runs out from nowhere at Sliceras, decked out in chainmail armor and wielding a knife.

Sliceras test's the bolter on a tree...there is now 1 less tree in the town

An animated chilli comes running at you and becouse his twin also runs at you from behind and you havent taken Improved Invasion they both sneak attack and you die...

Sliceras look's for a new target to try his gun on

the cloaked man uses assassin's rush to slide past the crazy man with a cane, and, steal his cane.

His cane is gone, and then the crazy guy starts whimpering.

Another guy, this one an elf, runs out from nowhere at Sliceras, decked out in chainmail armor and wielding a knife.

Sliceras grins super wide at the elf then open's fire it should be moderately accurate

The elf throws his knife at Sliceras before dropping dead.

It hits him in the eye and he drop's the gun and pull's out the dagger with his eye!

he searches the chaos marine bodies for robotic eye's

The knife then ignites, burning the eyeball. None of the dead Chaos Marines have robotic eyes.

He drop's the dagger and eye then cast's heal on himself

The knife lies on the ground, free for looting.

Gimmee something to fight!

A pair of old Tiger tanks from WWII roll up, and start shooting at Liran.

Liran dodges, and screams; Fuse Cryose! A shell of ice starts to cover Liran's back, before it reaches her bow-tie, she yanks it off. It freezes into some sort of whip-sword with a forked point. Bring it!

The tanks open fire.

Liran dashes forward, the tank's fire blasting away her secondary ice wings. She swings wildly at one of the tanks.

The tank splits open. The other one resumes firing.

Aagh! The sword shatters, as does her armour. The fragments of ice glow, and fuse back into the bow-tie.

The tank rolls over a nearby tree, firing it's guns at her as it moves away, trying to get a better shot.

Summon Cryose! Liran tosses the bowtie into the air, where it forms a spinning verticle ring. A blast of white energy consumes the ring, and lands in front of the tank. Causeing a smoke launcher like effect.

The tank keeps on rolling, firing in random directions now.

A giant sharpened icicle bursts forth from the cloud of dust, speeding at the tank.

After Waiting 40 minutes, Liran relizes the encounter is over. She then levels up and leaves.

[Bitzeralisis]

A kobold stands not so innocently in the field. Then an arrow strikes him.

Draconic"...owch?" it says, and falls on the ground dead.

A young man jumps out of the bushes, and quietly cheers. "That was much easier than expected. Killing the kobold courier..." and with that, the man, Bobbery, leaves the almost Random Encounter Zone.

the cloaked man undeadtimes, and looks at the wimpering crazy man
tsk tsk tsk! Minds snapping. So sad.

The crazy guy attacks him again, with his bare hands. ":smallfurious: YOU ATE MY ENCHILADA!"

The cloaked man hits the crazy man on the head with his cane. This blow is more incapacitating than lethal.

The crazy guy falls unconcious, and a book falls out of his back pocket. It's labled 'SPECIAL BOOK OF MAGIC STUFF!'

The cloaked man notices the book, and picks it up. He opens to a random part of the book

Turns out it's an artifact section.

"Tome of the Mind: An ancient book said to be written by the first Psion. Holds all secrets and special tips to fulfilling the true power of the mind."

The cloaked man looks around for anyone nearby, like any random encounters, and then looks more into this "Tome of the Mind"

"Among the powers of the mind enclosed in this book are:
How-to's for warping memories of other beings, information Psions typically wouldn't have about the inner workings of the mind, and a quick crash course in curing psychosis without years of therapy."

[Emperor Ing]

The stuff is pretty confusing to the cloaked man, so he decides to go into town, to see if anyone can tell him more about this.
Leaves the Random Encounter Zone, and into the streets.

Smacking continuity across the face, Raril appears looking a little confused. "I thought I was supposed to be looting that tent?"

"No, I'm bored, so you get to hang out here for a while."

"Alright...wait a second. How is my being here going to make you less bored?"

"You'll see."

"Gods help me."

Hey, Raril....THERE'S A SPIDER ON YOUR FACE!

Sure enough, there's a small spider on his face already.

Erica appears in the Zone as well, where exactly is at Blackout's discretion. She looks around.

"This should be a handy place for practicing."

She draws her phaseblade and neural shredder, and blends in with the nearest shadow, if there is one.

*SMACK!*

Raril hits the spider on his forehead, probably crushing it and knocking himself off his feet.

Raril then gets swarmed by several really big spiders.

Meanwhile, Erica has a problem consisting of a Radical Inquisitor headed her way.

And cue girlish scream.

"SPIIIDERRSS!" Raril runs.

[LordVader]

Erica's player would be extremely grateful if Blackout could describe the terrain surrounding Erica. And if there's anywhere to hide.

[blackout]

Barren patch of dirt, no place to hide. The RI packs a HUGE bolt gun for some reason.

The spiders chase Raril down, shooting webs at him as they go.

[LordVader]

Erica sighs.

"This should be interesting."

She draws her own Bolt Pistol, and fires off a few shots at the Inquisitor while running towards him and performing ninja-style dodging moves. Needless to say, this doesn't do much for her accuracy.

[blackout]

Several shots hit the Inquisitor, and he turns to open fire with his bolt gun. He draws his power sword as he does this.

[LordVader]

Erica grins under her mask.

"Power sword? My phaseblade'll cut that thing in half."

She drops to the ground and rolls towards the Inquisitor, rather quickly. The first shots shoukd go wide over her.

[blackout]

The Inquisitor, not used to fighting assassins like this, backflips, firing his bolt gun at her at the same time.

((Thou shalt fear thine enemy's pointless tactics.))

[LordVader]

((o_O He can backflip in power armor? That's one ninja of an Inquisitor. I salute him.))

Several shots blow up dirt around Erica, and she takes small amounts of shrapnel to the leg, but she ends the roll and lunges up and to the side, leaping into the air and curling her body up, ready to explode forward before she hits the ground. She fires off a few semi-but-not-really aimed shots.

((Dude, just wait until the Terminators show up. ))

The Inquisitor takes a single hit to his leg, which ricochets off his armor. He lands on his feet, and charges at her, power sword flailing madly.

[LordVader]

Erica smoothly brings up the Neural Shredder and fires, before swinging her phaseblade to intersect the power sword. It should slice cleanly through the middle before continuing into the Inquisitor.

((Can't, I gotta go. >_< Movie is on. Maybe later.))

The Inquisitor DIES! DIES A BLOODY, HORRIBLE DEATH! BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

....bolt-gun and broken power sword, up for grabs.

Erica takes both, plus any snazzy equipment he may have had, and disappears.

Raril keeps running from the spiders, until he's rescued by a plot hook. Continuity looks smug, as it reasserts itself.

A robot wearing a blood-stained version of Magtok's robes wanders by the entrance. It quietly drops a silver piece into the man's hand, and steps into the REZ.

The robot is attacked by....a kitten!

Unfortunately for the animal, the robot is immune to cuteness. It simply stands there, and tries to glare at it until it goes away.

The kitten MEOWS!

The robot narrows its eyes, and takes a step closer to the kitty.
