Monster Crossbreeds

I've got a need for an organization that likes to mutate creatures and breed them to create strange combinations of monster. For that purpose, I'm going to need some stats for monster crossbreeds: stuff along the lines of the owlbear and chimaera, a combination of different animal and monster parts.

Just give me some ideas for combinations that you'd like to see, and I'll make stats for it. I'm mostly looking for ideas at this stage, but you're welcome to provide stats as well.

Technically there is one, and she was that powerfull that she ended up becoming a Godess, and even then, they locked her in a cage in the 9 hells for being too powerfull... :smallwink:

Ochre Jelly and Gelatinous Cube
Ettin, Cerperus, and Hydra (all the heads!)
Rust Monster and Fire Elemental (destroy all the stuff!)

I try to combine Ropers with just about anything. Long reach tentacles are quite useful.

I have a villain who's doing dragon-X hybrids, where X is...well...anything.

So far he has done kobolds (dragon + gnome), dogres (dragon + ogre, less successful), and the fearsome droll (dragon + troll).

These are the ones that survived (so far, as seen in game). He's tried a bunch more. He's got a bit of an obsession with dragons, to be quite honest.

What about Someone who's great-grandparents on one side are each type of genasi and they have a baby with a tiefling. That baby gets the aasimar blessing. Then, the uber-0planetouched baby has a child with an elf who is half shadar-kai half eladrin. ALL OF THE PLANES!

If you can get the old 3.5 3rd Party Book, Bastards and bloodlines, it had some neat stuff on sentient races that would be easy to adapt to 5e.
I think a company produced a Crossbreading book for monsters too back then...

There's a table knocking about somewhere with alternative chimaeras, and you roll for each portion of the monster. I can't recall where it is though, it might be DMsGuild.
