Maybe give him medium or heavy armor proficiency if he takes/improved certain stances.
Martial Efficiency: Just give him far shot as a bonus feat. It doubled thrown weapons range without extra wording.

Thanks for the table, I'll have to adjust it slightly, but it's good to have it. The majority of stances probably won't have armor, but dragon emperor at the least will (good catch on no proficiency). As for martial efficiency, it's meant to actually stack with far shot.

I'm taking my time making this class. Partly to get a nice feel for each martial art and partly to not have to work on it too much all at once. Eagle Talon isn't exactly my favorite since it involves grappling and I've never really been a big fan of grappling in 3.5...

I second taking your time, which makes it more thought out. As for grappling -- grappling has an inherent weakness in that it becomes nigh-useless after level 8 to divine spellcasters (Freedom of Movement), and then weak to everything once Rings of FoM become available (that said, you can make a hefty profit snatching rings off of your enemy). Consider adding a counter to automatic "No, you cannot grapple me" moments.
