Akashic Subtype

This suntype appears on both races and monsters from akashic mysteries and a few races from bloodforge infusions.

Looking at what the subtype is, this line pops out to me: Essence Pool equal to racial hit die.

I am assuming that is something to do with monsters, but just wanted to double check.

Racial hit dice are hit dice that don't come from class levels. Pretty much all non-humanoid monsters have them. Not usually a concern for PCs unless you are playing monster characters.
