Battle Bridle and Gloves of the Balanced Hand grant feats that have prerequisites. They do not say, "even if you do not meet
its prerequisite," or "even if you lack the prerequisites for it," like Mobility or Riding Boots.

So if a Magic Item grants a feat and does not say you get to ignore the prerequisites I'm guessing you have to meet them?

Nope. Other way around. It doesn't say "you must meet the prerequisites to enjoy this feat," so you don't. You just reap the benefits of having the feat.

It doesn't have to. The general rule of feats is that you need the prereqs to use the benefits. You can have the feat (like someone with Power Attack who's been damaged below STR 13) but can't necessarily use the feat.

This might be an interesting balancing of magic items with Feats. :amused:

If they do not require you meet the prerequisites but dispelling or removing a Feat granting magic item can disable other Feats and even PrC abilities.

Update:
So on a second look the wording of these items are often different elsewhere also. Some, Mobility, Battle Bridle & Riding Boots, say "gain the benefit of the X feat" others, Gloves of the Balanced Hand, say "as if you had the X feat". I wonder if this wording makes a difference?
