I'm doing a homebrew project and I've gone over the srd, but I can't quite find very many canids as I did felids. I might be missing some super obvious ones, but does anyone have a list of the various dog-like creatures in dnd?

Well there is the obvious Blink dog, wolves, dire wolves and worgs. There are gnolls which could be described as dog-like humanoids, but IIRC they are usually described as more of Hyenas. Also there is the barghest who is a goblin-wolf hybrid and can transform into either via change shape.

I've found a good number of them, and I think I've found all that I need for now.

Canines I found in the SRD:

Blink Dog
Barghest
Dire Wolf
Hellhound
Howler
Shadow Mastiff
Wolf
Worg
Yeth Hound

There might be more but I really need to get to sleep.

SRD also has Winter Wolf. Stormwrack has seawolves, I believe. Races of Stone has deep hound. Arms & Equipment Guide has the Climbdog, a dog with woodpecker feet.

Canomorphs (from Fiend Folio p. 25) are Outsiders with humanoid-like and dog-like forms. Three varieties: Haraknin, Shadurakul, and Vultivor, which assume forms like a Hell Hound, Shadow Mastiff, and Vorr, respectively.

Snake-Dog and Frenzy Dog

Frenzy Dog template can't be given to dogs or wolves though - though the description does say it makes regular creatures significantly more "doglike", lookswise - at least in the face - sample Frenzy Dog Badger gains "pit bull face".

The closest approximation to a hamster would be the Mouse from DMG (familiar for Small casters). The template would upgrade it to Medium size.

Tome of Horrors has giant hamster stats. They were a thing in Spelljammer, gnomes used them to power clockworks and also ate hamster spam.

True - but the Tome of Horrors splatbooks are 3rd party.

I was thinking more of non-3rd party sources.
