So me and a group of friends have been playing a game Once ever two weeks for the past year and a half. Recently we kicked it up a notch to be every week and have progressed in the story. Sufficet it to say we ended up running into somethings we shouldn't have and allot of the party got wrecked most got wiped and few escaped and lived. We had a GM switch near the end which was nice as Gms play differently and we are now in 20+ levels.

Im not sure what to do as it has shifted to epic level stuff and how now the previous party members who stayed in game have either been npced or are now a "force to reckon" with and now its a power struggle in the world (Orc who now is divine and wants to be as big as gruumsh or better) so were are all now going to be evil chars.

I feel lost. I never played into high levels. 15-20 before let alone epic levels. And from what I have seen so far it is going to be crazy. Drow necromancer who wants to control her own personal city. Power house monk who wants to fight all that stands for good to see if might makes right (i think the player is being hush hush besides wanting knowledge and power) And Divine Orc cleric/Barb who wants power and mayhem.

I was going to roll a Witch Doctor esq char. Probably some wizard levels maybe focus on necromancy and cursing/debuffing etc. I just don't know where to go and start. So many literal options and things to do class wise. Wujen/wizard specialization/warlock etc etc etc. (race i was going to be was a tiefling to work with the voodoo/witchdoctor theme)

Is there any suggestions/thoughts from you the GitP base who have played evil campaigns and have any tips or thoughts for PC making?

The level im allowed to go up to is 37. Stat rolls came out 17 14 12 13 13 13. Hence being a wizard/caster of some sort

When I was evil and epic, I was a wizard who bound an army of devils and conquered kingdoms. Once I hit epic spells I used it to ascend into an Infernal and killed every archdevil in the game, including asmodeus, and became the ruler of the nine hells and conduct a full scale invasion of the material realm. We were going to fight the celestial paragons in the material realm but at that point we were unkillable, pulling off several TO tricks that made the game way too easy, so we all lost interest and started a new game.

Our Gm has already stated if we pull any "immortal" and such "crap or tricks" he will throw the book at us. (literally and metaphorically) He is wanting us to let loose and have some free form fun as he will be tailoring the game around our actions. including the possibility of us being targeted by the country where in if we make to much of a rush more then likely lol

I have been looking at wu jen for my "witch doctor" and i think i'll run with it and see what happens. Any suggestions or thoughts on the class?

Eh. Well, the sky is the limit. Wizard of any persuasion is more than fine. Is Epic magic on the table? if not, doesn't matter. If yes, roll with that. The epic caster feats (Automatic Metamagic, Improved Spell Capacity and most importantly Epic Spellcasting) are all amazing so take those. Any PRCs that are insane for normal Wizard (Incantatrix, Halruaan Elder, Hathran, Dweomerkeeper, Tainted Scholar, Red Wizard of Thay, etc.) or just run of the mill (Master Specialist, Fatespinner, Divine Oracle, Sacred Exorcist, Archmage, Loremaster, Olin Gisir, etc.) are all fine as long as you don't lose levels of spellcasting are good.

I recommend reading up (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?104002-3-5e-The-Logic-Ninja-s-Guide-to-Wizards-Being-Batman) on Wizard magic (http://bg-archive.minmaxforum.com/index.php?topic=394.00) and deciding on what exactly you wish to roll with. That's about all there is to it. "Witch doctor" alone feels a bit up in the air; you can still build it into basically anything. Necromancy/Curse-focused Wizard is okay; pick up metamagic, improve your Enervation, Bestow Curse and company but don't forget the accompanying spells. But yeah, a Necromancy-focused Wizard seems like it might be something you're interested in. Less the Undead-aspect and more all the debuffs (though Transmutation with Baleful Polymorph, Polymorph Any Object, Slow and company also should suit your needs just fine; focus in either, though Transmutation is generally better). But yeah, more details on what you'd like.

I will look into the links and to my knowledge epic feats are okay and green lit.

I tried the wu jen and yeah.. i dont feel like it came out well. : (
20 Wu Jen
1 shadow adept
4 Fatespinner
1 rogue (for skills i didnt have)
4 nightmare spinner
1 mindbender
6 Wildmage

It looked amazing putting it together. final product didnt look as good. Much sadness.

Might want to get some more feedback from your DM. Typically planes, not cities, are what threaten epic characters.

My last Epic character was also an Evil wizard, and he decided to just kill almost everything in the underdark and turn them into undead slaves.

He might end up doing that for all I know. But as of the moment we have almost had a instant pvp match between a caster (necro) vs a cleric ( Melee). He half expects us to to kill one another as it is. lol

If anyone has any build/calulator sites that would be good for epic games id love to hear any. im currently working with heroforge 3.5 dnd excel sheet
