I've been tinkering with the idea of trying to find a way to make both random roll lovers happy and point buy lovers happy.
Here is what a late night of musing and test rolling has lead me to so far.
Organic Birth Method
Step one
Choose a Race and add its racial bonus after you generate stats.
Step two Generate Stats
Roll 4D4 drop the low in order from str to char
You get 30 points, one point per stat increase until 13 then 2 points per increase until 15. And a 16 will cost you 3 points. You may not purchase past 16. Once this Is done apply your racial modifers to your stats.
Step Three Choose a background
Step Four Choose a Class
