I'm currently playing a Vitalist (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/vitalist/). In the discussion of Psyren's Vitalist Guide (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?222365-PF-Mental-Medicine-a-Vitalist-Handbook/page2#40) I found the following idea:

The Vitalist manifests a [healing] power, e.g. Natural Healing (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/psionic-powers/n/natural-healing/) or Mend Body (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/psionic-powers/m/mend-body/).
They share this power with their psicrystal (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/equipment/psicrystals/) using the share powers ability
They redirect all the healing on both themselves and their psicrystal to whichever member(s) of their collective who need healing.

The point of discussion which was raised back then but not really clarified is this clause in the description of the psicrystal (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/psionic-bestiary/psicrystal/) (note: different link than above):

It cannot heal damage, but it can be repaired.

Now, both powers have the following wording (emphasis mine):

You heal 3 hit points of damage

You mend your own wounds, healing 3d8 points of damage
So neither power has an effect on the psicrystal due to its construct traits and

The owner and psicrystal cannot share powers if the powers normally do not affect creatures of the psicrystal’s type (construct).

I was hoping that I found a way around it, but after re-reading the rules it seems to me that it does, in fact, not work. However I had almost finished this post, so at least it will stand as documentation of the relevant rules. And maybe someone has an idea how to pull off this little trick, which doubles your healing output without spending additional PP.

For the sake of completeness, the vitalist can pull this off anyway using spirit of many, spending an additional PP to manifest the power a second time on another member of their collective and then redistributing. This can even be the psicrystal:

He can manifest these powers on any member of his collective, even if they [...] would normally be immune to the power.
The method described above would, however, save the additional PP.

Yes. Here's some handy text from Psicrystals Expanded:

Though psicrystals are constructs, their bond with their creators does let them exert a metacreative effect that helps to repair their injuries. A psicrystal within one mile of its owner heals an amount of hit points equal to that owner’s character level whenever its owner recovers hit points by resting; the psicrystal draws on the psionic bond between itself and its owner and generates, then incorporates, new material for its body.

Other methods of healing one’s psicrystal are also available. In addition to the new powers presented in this supplement, spells that heal constructs also affect psicrystals. Vitalists can heal psicrystals over their collective, as usual. Psicrystals, despite not being mundane items, may also be healed by an aegis’s astral repair ability.

Not sure if there was actually a question in the OP, but to reiterate: while psicrystals can't be healed via share power + regular [healing], they can be healed that way via a Vitalist's collective, as well as via various construct repair powers. You can also share non-healing defensive powers with them like Vigor to prevent the damage from being incurred in the first place. Lastly, you can repair psicrystals via mundane means, using the construct repair rules found in Ultimate Magic.

The main question was not healing the psicrystal as such. Rather the idea (which does not work) was to mainfest e.g. Mend Body on both the Vitalist and the Psicrystal (using Share Power) to effectively double the healing output without spending additional PP. For example, my Vitalist 5 cannot manifest an augmented Mend Body, as that would cost 6PP, but could use the described method (if it worked), as that would cost only 5PP.

Correct, share power inherits the healing power's restrictions, while the collective bypasses them.

But as I mentioned, stuff that doesn't heal (like Vigor) can be shared just fine, so just use that if you're being frugal.

Or just be a sadist lifeleech and use vigor and then drain health to spread the HP around. 5hp/pp base exchange. Share with the psycrystal and you can heal 10hp/pp.

You can get even better exchange rates by increasing the number of targets as you increase the amount of temp HP granted.
