How would I calculate the number of possible character types, given only race, class, and background?
For example, in the PHB, there are 9 races, 12 classes, and 13 backgrounds (not counting subrace or subclass).
Is the total just multiplication, for 1404 total possible characters? Or is there a fancy stats equation we'd use?
