Very very quick question as I dont have any of my books infront of me as im at work.

What is the feat and where for reducing the casting time of a summon X from a full round to a standard action? and is there any prerequisite's??
This is for my evil cleric summoning undead :)

Oh and do you think, having the summon and evil domain a 1st level summon at 1st level should last 4rnds? 1 caster level + 2 summon domain +1 evil domain, as long as it is evil of course??

cheers all

As I recall, "rapid summoning" from the complete arcane. Or something like that, anyway. Prerequisite was something like "caster level 5, or conjuration specialist".

And yes, unnamed bonuses generally stack in 3E.

Yes, caster bonuses stack from different sources. Unless named bonuses.

Don't know about a feat, but there is a variant from Unearthed Arcana (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/sovelior_sage/unearthedSpecialist.html#conjurer) that lets a Conjurer replace his familar with the ability to cast summon monster spells as a standard action.

(Too bad none of the other variant abilities there do anything for a conjurer that wants to specialize in Conjuration (teleportation) or Conjuration (creation). It's all focused on one particular subschool. :smallyuk:)

Yeah, I don't recall seeing a feat that reduces the casting time, so I think the variant that Shhalahr mentioned is the closest thing.

For a Cleric, however, that poses a problem, as you can't access the variant. You could use the Rapid Spell feat, or to make it more cleric-based, try a Divine Feat.

Divine Summon [Divine]

The enemy priest began channeling divine power as he had before, and you realize that he intends to summon another infernal beast to do his bidding. You think you have time to stop him before he complete the summoning, but suddenly the air around him flares with divine magic, and the beast appears.

This feat allows a cleric to channel the positive or negative energy from his or her turning or rebuking ability in order to speed up Conjuration (Summoning)

Prerequisites: Ability to Turn or Rebuke undead; Spell Focus (Conjuration); Augment Summoning

Benefits: As a swift action, you may spend a turn/rebuke attempt to reduce the casting time of any Conjuration (Summoning) spell that you cast before your next turn from one full round to one standard action.

Special: The benefit of this feat does not stack with any other feat or ability that reduces casting time of Conjuration (summoning) spells.
