Last week I made a thread discussing giving sorcerer the eldritch blast cantrip and associated invocations. It yielded some interesting feedback. One post gave me an idea of creating a darker bloodline for the sorcerer. I posted this new bloodline in the homebrew forums.

Is this meant to replace the warlock class? Not a fan of pact magic? Don't like the idea of patrons?

It is not meant to replace anything. It is just a bloodline for a sorcerer who had a warlock ancestor.

Have you ever watched a movie where “Billy” inherits an item, only to find out the item is magical. The item grants Billy power but, in all actuality Billy had the power already inside him. The item just gave him confidence and belief in himself to use his power. The item still has power just not the primary source of power.
