Help me understand Atomic Adept

So this class here has really peaked my interest in playing a radioactive ghoulish gal, who sheds sickly green light like a torch way better than the kineticist did but I'm really not clear what kind of role it's supposed to fill in a party or where to start building one, can you guys here help me with that?

After reading the class I think the intention was to play it like a mix of a debuff psion and a warlock.

But I noticed that if you get poison immunity and either regeneration or fast healing you can spam everything , and if you build for it you want to meltdown as much as possible for the lulz. It does mean you need to keep the rest of your party at a distance.

Also cheese with metamagic and getting new spells on your list apply as normal.
