Help me help a fellow rogue 3.5

I'm playing in a large group of about 10 players (including GM) and one player is a rogue. We are level 9-10 and I realizes he hasn't bought or kept any new items sense level 4. He has 600000 platinum (including what we are willing to donate to him) so money is not an issue. But because I am not used to playing rogue I don't know what he should get to replace his old gear. Could you give me any suggestions to help him and where I can find the items (book and page) to make it easier on the gm.

The first thing that leaps to mind if the greater collar of umbral metemorphosis (ToM). Then maybe some feathered wings graft (FF). 300k obviously goes to +10 equivalent armour and weapon (look through the MIC).

Beyond that obvious stuff, build matters. What -exactly- is this "rogue?"

What does he already have, what is he trying to get at (is he more sneaky, ranged, TWF, what?), and what power level is the group at? EDIT: Swordsage'd

His stats are currently 24 strength 22 dexterity 22 construction 12 intelligence 14 wisdom 14charisma
He rolled 3 18s and he is a large creature

He is sneak attack and multi arm fighting. Has 6 arms

Start with all of the Necessary Magic Items (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?187851-3-5-Lists-of-Necessary-Magic-Items).

MIC p234, you can add basic bonuses to existing items for the same price as a standalone item of the same bonus. So a Necklace of Adaptation can have a +6 Enhancement to Con added for the same price as a +6 Amulet of Health, and a +5 bonus to natural armor added for the same price as a +5 Amulet of Natural Armor.

Get some decent armor, such as a mithril chain shirt with some special properties.
Get an animated mithril heavy shield, it has no armor check penalty so there's no penalty for not being proficient.
Get a good melee weapon, or two depending on what he uses.
Get a good option for ranged attacks, Gloves of Endless Javelins in MIC is always a good choice.

If he had that much cash-on-hand, he was clearly a tyrant in need of deposition. Guess he should've spent some on security. :smallamused::smallwink:

So it's just straight rogue then? No multiclassing?

Ya straight rogue. He is stubborn.

And he did have security but our bard with amazing charisma checks started a riot and stormed the castle killing all but a hand full of gards. It was meant to be a big battle. Also with all the people of the city dead we clamed the castle as our base of operations.
