Would like ideas on converting the web content Transference (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20060526a) spell and associated item to Pathfinder.

You can just transfer them directly as Pathfinder is compatible with 3.5

But they would be mostly useless as there is no XP cost for crafting in Pathfinder so they wouldn't do very much.

Precisely, which is why I'm asking for ideas on how to modify them so they have similar utility.

...Why? The whole point of that spell is to try and solve a problem that doesn't exist in Pathfinder in the first place - crafting an item that would benefit the group as a whole, but that would be beyond the crafter's individual XP allotment to actually make. In Pathfinder, all you need to craft is gold, and you can already pool that as a party.

Alternatively the point is to pool a resource not normally able to be shared for crafting. Does PF not have any such resources?
Access to feats or traits or materials of spell casting or something?

Nope, you can share all of that too. CRB:

It is possible for more than one character to cooperate in the creation of an item, with each participant providing one or more of the prerequisites. In some cases, cooperation may even be necessary.

If two or more characters cooperate to create an item, they must agree among themselves who will be considered the creator for the purpose of determinations where the creator’s level must be known.

If neither of you have a prerequisite, you can even ignore it completely (and raise the crafting DC accordingly) with a few exceptions. So that spell is pretty unnecessary here as stated.

Hmmm, perhaps the ability to store and transfer a participant's prerequisite remotely, thereby transferring their life experience rather than their xp?

The only non-XP "life experience" I can think of would be skill ranks and feat choices... and the 3.5 spell/item you're linking doesn't appear able to store those either, so you'd be in the area of brewing something new rather than conversion at that point.
