I seem to remember a thread on these boards with a list of notable weapon and armor enhancements, but I can't find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Here's one option, but I believe there is a (more up to date?) version on these forums (which I can't currently find):

Weapon & Armor Information (http://bg-archive.minmaxforum.com/index.php?action=printpage;topic=12795.0)

OK, found some "local" options:

Saving from WOTC Forum: The 3.5 Weapon Special Abilities thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?445736)

Thank you! The latter two were what I was remembering, but the first one would have also worked.

This reminds me of something. Sizing + something (I want to say dancing) on a gauntlet, then riding it around like a mount. Was that a thing or am I crazy? :smallconfused:

I think there's an actual Flying enchantment somewhere...in a FR book from memory? I can't find it on the lists...

Flying (+1 bonus equivalent; Magic of Faerun, p.140): gives the weapon a 30ft fly speed.

You can also try the magic carpet of flying forcewall (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=10294124&postcount=5).

Melee weapons only, I'm afraid. Unless you can somehow get the tower shield to count as a weapon, I think you're out of luck.

You can't shield bash with a tower shield, which makes things tricky.

Nice find!

Put it on a Large Longspear, with bicycle seats for the whole party.

Heh, or put it on that weapon which was basically a whole log. Caber, maybe? Yeah that's the thing.

Imagine a brilliant energy light-caber.

You could use a Shield Sheathe (from Races of Stone) to attach a light weapon to the inside of the Tower Shield. (Or, just use Sovereign Glue). The Light Weapon would be doing the flying, and take the shield along with it.

Did we just hyjack this topic and turn it into a pimp my ride discussion? Okay then, I'm down for it!

Am I reading the Flying property correctly, that you can send the weapon off by itself to attack as an animated object?

One person's tower shield is another giant's medium shield.

Unfortunately, the weapon is going to have the stats of an animated object. That means its carrying capacity will be limited by the object's strength score. You need to go big, and light weapons aren't.

Put it on a Large Longspear, with bicycle seats for the whole party.
With the above, unless you're a party of pixies, with a light load of 152 lbs (because creatures generally cannot fly if carrying more than a light load) the large longspear isn't going to be able to carry all of you.

However, it does make a serviceable broom for slender, unencumbered witches. If you want to carry everyone, you'll need the sizing property. Turn it Colossal and it can carry 6,400 lbs.

One person's tower shield is another giant's medium shield.

While that would be a fine house rule, I'm not sure there's any RAW support for that. I'd be happy tpo be proven wrong.

However, I thought of a couple of possible workarounds (for using a tower shield as a weapon):

The Ranged shield property (MIC) allows a shield to be thrown for damage. It specifically excludes tower shields, but doesn't not exclude Extreme Shields (RoS), which are quite similar to tower shields in some respects. Whether this would allow the shield to be enchanted as a weapon is another question altogether. All in all, quite cheesy and questionable.

The better option (IMHO) is the Variable property (also in MIC), that allows a shield to shift between sizes, buckler to tower shield. You should be legally able to affix shield spikes or otherwise enchant it as a weapon in light or heavy shield form, it it may retain those properties in tower shield form.

Thank you very much!

I'm currently looking for a list of druid friendly armors and druid friendly special materials to convert metal armors, but these lists are much appreciated, too!
