Well, I was about to point out the DSP PoW lets you do all kinds of cool stuff. A base Warder (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/path-of-war/classes/warder/) with the Piercing Thunder discipline is pretty much a perfect Polearm wielding defender who does only mundane stuff.

If you want to avoid 3p options however, well, we have a glaive weilding Slayer in my group right now who hits like a truck, but she benefits amazingly from being a Syrinx (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/more-races/advanced-races-11-20-rp/syrinx-16-rp/) and using her mobility to be wherever she needs to be on the field.

The Phalanx Soldier Fighter Archetype sounds like what you want, but yuo kinda need your allies to group up around you to be the most useful, but that rarely happens, and can also be crazy detrimental to your survival.

But if you've got some tanky buddies to gang up with, you can have some fun.
You also get to use any polearm as a one handed weapon, which is neat. I built mine for getting as many AoO's as humanly possible, which worked out pretty well.
