paladin level 17 best spells to keep up

so i am a level 17 paladin and would like to know what are the best spell i can keep run along side my smites. I am the main damage dealer of the party.

Depends on what you're fighting, but for the generic always good option no matter who or what you're fighting - Bless. Helps to get the hits to do your smiting and defense against harmful effects that would stop you from fighting.
