AAArrrrrgh! It's been playing on infinite loop in my head for the last three days!

The Wave, by Miike Snow (https://youtu.be/nk1gaE1G7JM)

And it's not just the song... it's the video too. What is up with this... guy?

Someone, please suggest a song/video combination that is catchy and weird enough to oust this The Wave before I become a giggling, drooling mess in the corner of the room cawing like some deranged robot/alien bird, the way he does in the song.

Oh, wow! I had forgotten all about the Weebl and Bob website!

So, update on my current condition: Fully recovered.

After playing the playlist of recommendations, I breathed a sigh of relief, and thought about how I wasn't thinking about The Wave anymore... which of course got the song back in my head.

So, I watched the video from Hale & Pace on repeat onto I could think of no other song, then switched over to Weebls Stuff for some nostalgia, then I listened to 3 hours of Bollywood.

I'm better now, and I'm chilling to some dreamwave by Toro Y Moi, because no one ever got dreamwave stuck in their head.

Does that include my fantastic song recommendation?:smallwink::smalltongue:

Actually, yes. Which was a good follow up to a show I watched with my son, where they talk about the time Benjamin Franklin wrote an essay about farting.

And also, Bob's Burgers is an awesome show.

As a general recommendation if you just want a clean slate, I find the opening to this relatively obscure anime (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6l-M3MET7uk) tends to wipe out any other songs and it doesn't intrusively assert itself in their place. Just listen to the first 20 seconds or so.

Wait there's a real show where this is the plot of an episode?:smallconfused: I'm just gonna assume this was fiction and not a historical documentary otherwise maybe I should have paid more attention in school.

Take your pick:

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip.
That started from this tropic port,
Aboard this tiny ship.

It's a small world, after all.
It's a small world, after all.
It's a small world, after all.
It's a small, small world.

[No links to the actual songs. If it's not already running unstoppably through your brain, it's the wrong one for you.]

The Ben Franklin fart essay is both real and amazing (http://teachingamericanhistory.org/library/document/to-the-royal-academy-of-farting/). Apparently he was trolling the Royal Academy.

Anyway, on topic (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bu2SkBK1mR4&list=LL67cR6K54yaLfu2awntn9hg&index=61).

When I've got a song really badly stuck in my head, my go-to remedies are the beginning of Ode to Joy or Beethoven's 5th symphony (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ludwig_van_Beethoven_-_symphony_no._5_in_c_minor,_op._67_-_i._allegro_con_brio.ogg). The melodies are so strong and clear that I can usually force them into my head even when another song is overwhelming me, even if I'm not near a computer or otherwise can't actually listen to them. But the complete songs are so long and complex that I can't remember them, so they don't get stuck in my head.

The Rasmus - Paradise. It's a pretty good song, my girlfriend (who doesn't really like the band) really enjoyed the song.

I like the lyrics, the catchy guitar hook in the bridge, the way Lauri sings the bridge and chorus and the little instrumental/guitar solo towards the end is nice. It's a catchy song and makes my anticipation for the new album grow more and more.

Strictly speaking, I've been cured of my ear worm since the 15th. But there's always more time to recommend weird but catchy songs.

Okay.

Here's an old gem from like over ten years ago: Link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WgT9gy4zQA).

I'm not sure if I want to reveal what it is because just saying it's name could bring back memories and get an new ear-worm stuck in your head. But I obviously have to tell you what it is so that's why I'll use spoilers:
It's The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny.
