Do you have trouble describing surroundings in published adventures?

I really struggle with trying to describe dungeon corridors with multiple doors and passages leading off. It feels like the players have no idea where they are...should I just be drawing maps on a sheet of paper for them to look at? I have been reserving the drawing of floor maps just for combat situations but feel like I need to start drawing their general surroundings to help them out.

When I am describing stuff outside of published adventures I don't have any issue because I can visualise it much better...and usually it is much a simpler map too.

Doing a quick sketch can help a lot.

I don't have an issue with the description itself, but it's true that they can be hard to visualize with the book's description alone.
