Hello, AGAIN,

Do Cantrips count against spells known?

From the Bard spell page.

SPELLS KNOWN OF 1ST LEVEL AND H IGHER
You know four 1st-levei spells of your choice from the
bard spelllist.
The Spells Known column of the Bard table shows
when you learn more bard spells of your choice. Each of
these spells must be of a levei for which you have spell
slots, as shown on the table. For instance, when you
reach 3rd leveI in this c1ass, you can learn one new spell
of 1st ar 2nd leveI.

Cantrips do not count as spells known. This is why most classes have separate "Cantrips known" and "Spells known" columns.

Cantrips, as described in the book, are the building blocks of what your spells are based off of. You've cast them so many times they're as easy to use as a spoon, pencil or toilet paper. As such you don't need to memorize or write them down, they don't count toward spells known.

The Spells known are the more difficult ones, the ones that require your attention. It'd be like trying to break a board in martial arts, the punch (cantrip) is nothing, but the focus needed to get through the board (spell) requires more effort.

Cantrips are spells, but they are not "of 1st level and higher".
Every spell has a level from 0 to 9. [...] Cantrips--simple but powerful spells that characters can cast almost by rote--are level 0.

Thank you all. I was overthinking that one.
