Birthday Boons: GMs, what do you do?

Today, one of my players made one more trip around the sun. So, as a present, I gave him a second d20 roll. He can use it once, to replace another d20 roll.

I have had a couple forgo their anniversary plans to show up at my game. I gave them a combined number of rerolls equal to the number of years they were married (4-5 iirc)

Another player showed up on their birthday and I gave them temp hp equal to their age. (High enough level of game to last a couple hits.)

Cake and possible presents, but no in-game bonuses. That makes the game unfair. [It also makes the world inconsistent.]
